As the title suggests.
I use my old 911 for historic rallying over here in France in the Summer months, so heating is never an issue. However, i am doing some winter events this year and the car is like an ice box! The heat exchangers and a lot of the ancillary bits from the heating system were ditched long ago to save weight, so i have been looking at some of the electric heaters on the market. Anyone got a recommendation or some advice on the matter.
Cheers.

As someone who runs a minimalist Fisher Fury without a screen, doors or any kind of heater year-round - forget electrical add-ons for heating.

Even if your electrical system could spare 50amps or so, it only adds about 600w peak and that's maybe 1/10th at best of what a regular car heating system could deliver; electrical heating, esp. in a stripped car, is a non-starter. For the volume of the cabin even the very smallest water (or in your case, oil) cooler rad would utterly swamp the potential of electrical heating.

Look closely at your clothing layers first. If you must use electric power I suggest you look at using the kind of heated clothing available for motorbikes - e.g. under-jacket vest and/ or gloves - because these heat you directly and are therefore very, very much more eficient - and no longer expensive, either.

There's a guy fitting one into his 130rs project over on Retrorides, might be worth dropping him a message

A good idea for just about any car but an air cooled 911 idea

Sadly no good on an air cooled car. It needs hot water to work. Thanks for taking the time to post though, appreciated.
