Has anyone changed their kidney grills from chrome to black/carbon? Seem to be lots about on Ebay/Amazon etc.

I am quite tempted to do it. On black it would make the car look evil

Just my opinion but I'm not a fan on black cars. I have them on my silver grey though and they make a nice contrast against the colour whilst tying in well with the shadowline exterior trim.

I was not normally a fan - definitely not a fan on black cars - but my M3 came with darker grills and smoked lenses. Looks really nice. I am currently debating whether to get the wheels done in a similar shade.

Not a fan myself. Even less so of the tri colour grill slats.

Personal choice though obviously. smile

Wow. Black badges, coloured slats and M number plate surrounds...not to mention the illegally spaced plate.

Much prefer the chrome ones - all black just creates a big "hole" between the headlights that looks odd.

If I was trying to make it look like an M5 I would have at least stuck on some fake wing vents, dual zorsts and an M5 badge on the back. I still has the standard 530D badge, single down turned derv zorst and no sticky on wing vents.

Car came with Tri colour grills which have grown on me , number plate surrounds and black badges were also already fitted but don't worry me as much as you lol. The only thing I've done is swap out the awful 6 series wheels it came with for something more my taste and tint the windows with 20% tint.

Just as well we all have different taste wink

I got the BMW Performance grills on my 640d from new.

Rather like them as unlike previous grills they have some silver in them.

Mine came with these, I keep meaning to find some originals as I'm not really a fan.

Only a personal opinion of course - in my view they look really chav. One for the council thread in the Lounge!
