So today was the long awaiting press conference in Paris to see who would be contesting in this years WEC and Le Mans.

You can see the official WEC entry here:

And the official Le Mans entry here:

First in WEC, obviously it's sad not to see Nissan but considering they didn't really enter last year I think it looks almost the same. Looking forward to seeing what the new Toyota can do and really hope it's a 3 horse race in LMP1. It looks like the designation 'LM1-L' is no longer there and it's just one class, either hybrid or not. I think the ACO need to encourage more privateers in LMP1 if they can. I don't see the point in spending that much money when you're racing 2 other cars.

LMP2 looks like a good line up. Disappointed not to see Jota listed as Jota but as they are running the G-Drive team it's good to have them there in Oreca's. Interesting to see Manor enter and looking at their website and twitter it looks like it must have been a very late entry. The car design has no sponsors so maybe Graeme and John Booth have spent their redundancy money on an LMP2 team...either way great to have them onboard and looking forward to more news.

I'm hoping it's a good season and looking forward to Le Mans.

Good to see 4 Ford GTs in Le Mans, a team UK and team USA.

I think you're right about encouraging those who wanted the technical challenge into LMP1 but I think the chassis limitations for LMP2 have turned into a cost saving exercise. To make LMP1-L or Non-hybrid a viable class they need to have at least 5 or 6 cars racing in it, otherwise what would be the draw to it? Rebellion are basically racing against themselves, but fair play for putting their hat in the ring.
