I think he fails to appreciate that the car will just be scrapped anyway, so it makes no difference to the DVLA.

It's a 2003 yaris, could quite easily be a 1.0 litre (or a 1.3)

That's what I was thinking, make some money from parts and it would reduce the amount the DVLA could recoup from scrap. Didn't someone do that to their Focus?
