Paul O'Connell forced to retire

It was horrible to see him leave the world cup injured; you knew it had to be serious as he is such a strong individual. I'm biased as I'm a munster man, but you could tell he always played with pride and passion.
Such as brilliant player and no doubt respected by those who had to face him due to his quality and attitude. Feels unfair on him to be forced out of what he loves, but he finished his career with success and honour. To think he almost played in France!
At least now we'll hopefully see him back at munster and as part of the Irish team inspiring future talent.
He'd have to be pretty proud to have captained his team, country and the lions. I'm just glad to have seen him at his best and witnessed the victories and trophies he thoroughly deserved.
