Wild card , but does any one have a recommendation for a mower to cut two grass courts ?

Don't say Tarmac them , I have already and now have bullet wounds !

Petrol, Cylinder, Roller.

Allett, Masport. basically the same as Golf course greens.

As has been said, a cylinder with a roller is the right type. Ransomes make another very good mower, and are used by tennis clubs/formal gardens/sports pitches/golf courses etc across the world. Whatever manufacturer you go for, ask if you can swap out the cutting cylinder and find out what options are available.

Generally speaking though, the higher the number of blades on the cylinder the finer the cut. On most domestic mowers you'll find 2-4 blades whereas on professional kits the number of blades can range from 7-13.
