I bet they are glad that so much time was lost on the first two days, without the poor weather it would have finished last night.
I don't think that will help their receipts.Gargamel said:
Men against boys.
Like said. They are only here for the shopping.
Jimmy A unplayable.

Agree on all counts. Still, won't hurt our rankings.

We batted badly, with the exception of Bairstow and some rare graft from Hales yet win by an innings and 80 odd.
Well done to Jimmy on a pair of Michelles, to Bairstow for his great knock, but
WTF am I going to do tomorrow?
Sorry gents, late to the thread.Well done to Jimmy on a pair of Michelles, to Bairstow for his great knock, but

Echo the above. Bit of nervousness around our top order remains.
My big regret about this test was that was going to be there, including fancy dress Saturday. Might be an old codger, but don't have to grow up. Couldn't get due to busted knee.
Bloody dog stopped all that, see Creatures Great and Small thread. Ruddy hooligan.
Still listened to it whilst laid up in bed.
Watched the highlights.
Listened to it again when couldn't sleep in middle of night.
Watched the highlights again.
Pity it wasn't against the Ockers.
Right I assume we are all fired up and ready for the next massacre Test vs Sri Lanka at Chester Le Street.
English Pundits are not giving the Lankan's a prayer, and Vaughan is calling for two division of Test Cricket.
Don't think Sri Lanka will bat as badly again, and at least this time we have given them Woakes to hit in the interests of sporting fairness.
Hope he proves me wrong, but I don't think Woakes is Test class, and frankly even if he gets a hatful here, it won't clear that question until he has done it against some better opposition. Would have preferred to see a new kid in the team.

Im not a fan of Woakes either, but he is a safe pair of hands, can bat and bowl and got plenty of experience. For short term he can fit in without too many issues. English Pundits are not giving the Lankan's a prayer, and Vaughan is calling for two division of Test Cricket.

Stretching it a bit when you look at what happens to most touring teams, particularly your lot to Oz over the last 20 years or so.I seem to remember the best team in the world going down 5 zip over here not all that long ago ;-)

When test cricket cant' sell out on day 1 in England you know test cricket is probably fked in the not too distant future.
Don't think there's a problem with test cricket in this country as such just a problem with the location of this test. Shame as it looks to be a nice ground. Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
