He was only 18 at the time. His paid for what he did, people need to move on now.

^^^This. Goughie did a very good piece on Talksport about this yesterday and basically said the same above. Yes people cannot forgive what he did as he brought cricket into disrepute. He served his ban, did time in jail and now earned his call back to the test arena. No issues at all with that.

Good luck to him and I hope he proves a few people that he is a reformed character.

I've got tickets to the Oval for the 4th day of the test. Would anyone be so kind as to give me an idea as to what to do with regard to food and drinks? I'd like to slightly upgrade the experience from the Burgers and pints of a T20. Can I bring in a full picnic and several bottles of Chablis? Is there another option other than the full £300 hospitality experience?

TIA. Ben.

He's not always the most pleasing on the eye however it's remarkable that Misbah is scoring test centuries aged 42. Well played - he's done what Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting and Kallis couldn't do, score a 100 at the home of cricket.

You can't (legally) take any booze in

Not sure on the Oval, but Edgbaston and Old Trafford we took all our own food in, and soft drink but no booze.

Watching highlights, impressed with Woakes and Ball, Finn is crap. England a little sloppy with screw dropped catches.

Misbah showing his class as usual and toyed with Moeen Ali. England need a proper spinner. Moeen isn't good enough.

Wow how times have changed. 20 years ago we used to each take a cool box, one with beer, one with wine and the the others filled with sandwiches and picnic food.

Lords is the only Cricket Ground left you can take your own alcohol in.

Last time I went to the oval I took a box of wine, remove the box and put the foil bag under my shirt. Looked a bit of a fatty at security, but it worked. smile

So tight, but then bar prices at the oval are extortion

Is Hales playing in Cooks skin today - 50 of 63 balls? Nice going Chef, for once I am entertained.

Woakes....better than Finn by some distance

Woakes has surely cemented his test place by now.

England in a bit of trouble now - the Pakistani leggie looks a very good bowler. Had Pakistan taken their catches they would be well on top by now.

Traditional stness from the middle order, hopefully Cook and Bairstow can put something together here.

Why did they recall Ballance again, I have literally no idea. He isn't a test player, no matter how much the selectors wish he was.

I thought England had it under control for a spell there.

Root played a lazy shot to get out and it all went wrong from there.

Should be an interesting day tomorrow. Pakistan have to get Woakes early. Yasir Shah first lef spinner in 20 years to get a 5fer at lords.

Not sure if Shah is a fantastic bowler or if England can't play spin, but 81 wickets in 13 tests probably indicates he can bowl a bit.

Well played
