Back to tackling school for Nowell. Lost count of the number he has missed.
Partially redeemed himself with great catch under pressure, but not the best game for the Cornishman.

Very very well done boys. Attack needs more work and I can't help feeling that we back off the breakdown too much and let the oppo go through too many phases, but 3-0 is better than we could have hoped. Not the finished article but enormous progress.

Fantastic. The series win was brilliant but the whitewash epic.

Really good test match to watch, as the pundits were saying before the game third tests tend to be really open and that's what we got. Australia were better in quite a few areas, lots of missed tackles from England given last weeks efforts. Brown has been pretty poor for me this series, poor decision making, running rather than kicking the ball in the wrong areas.

England the smarter test match side under the tutelage of EJ.

Brilliant.

well that was a nail-biter! We rode our luck at times but a win is a win. There have been some massive positives but, in this match at least, there are quite a few things we should be able to improve on

Why is it that only the English can start a game of rugby on time?

Remarkable series result. Australia fought pretty hard today, to the bitter end, they must be gutted that 40 points wasn't enough.

Nightmare for Nowell.

Have I missed a really good match then? I saw the first two, but my wife is working today, leaving me with childcare. I managed to turn that into a 2 hour mountain bike ride, so not all bad, but sounds like it was a nailbiter!!

Best game of the three for me, little lack of intensity in defence, possibly due to Haskell not being on the pitch, but a real hum dinger of a game.

Also, bad luck Ireland. It was pretty bloody close at the end.

And just to round out the day, the England U20 boys have just utterly mullered Ireland in the final of the World Championship...

England looked a class apart for great swathes of that game. Was tremendous entertainment.

Def worth watching if you can. Great performance.

England with a lot more attacking intent than the first two matches.

With EJ it seems like they're finally starting to use the scrum as an attacking platform rather than to win penalties. I've never understood why they try and push over from 5 metres when you can win quick ball and have Billy V pick and go. No back in world rugby is stopping him with a 5 metre run at them 1 on 1!

Helps if you have a hooker who hooks. It seems to me that often teams have to push over the ball rather than hook it as there is so much pressure on the hooker that he can't lift his right foot. England clearly got it right in that scrum and got quick channel one ball.

He's always been able to hook, I'm guessing under the old regimes the plan was never to play that way...it was always about winning pens or trying to walk it over.

Hartley has, agreed, but it seems a great many can't or as you say choose not to. Mind you the angle the ball goes in it hardly matters!

Japan played like demons yesterday, possibly spurred on bybtheir Emperor attending the match.

Ball in hand, they took Scotland to school. Scotland got out of jail a bit.

I know Fox took the original down, but is it still available to view somewhere?
