wasn't one of the asthma drugs used in Bodybuilding years ago????
Don't start on bodybuilding.

There is a Sport (pastime/activity) where anything goes.
My god yes, but if it was used for muscle increase. Then it would be beneficial to athletes too.

I've just done a quick check on the effects of Triamcinolone Acetonide, and it's a particularly potent corticosteroid, it induces rapid and lasting weight loss, increased airflow to the lungs, with no loss of power. In fact, in some cases it actually increases it by up to 7%. Again, what use is this to a professional cyclist?
How do I get my doctor to prescribe this? rofl I could do with losing a few kg
Or...

Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions, and to relieve the discomfort of mouth sores.[1] In nasal spray form, it is used to treat allergic rhinitis. It is a more potent derivative of triamcinolone, and is about eight times as potent as prednisone.[2]

It is also known under the brand names Kenalog (topical) and Volon A as an injection, to treat allergies, arthritis, eye diseases, intestinal problems, and skin diseases.
These TUEs don't give you carte blanche to just do what you want with a drug. It has to be as prescribed. If Wiggo has managed to get his doctor to prescribe injecting a lot of this gear on the basis of allergy, the whole shebang is corrupt. I suspect he didn't.

If MJ, Prince et al can get it easily prescribed, then I'm sure a few high profile athletes can easily achieve the same.

It's (at best) all a bit whiffy. Good piece here by drugs expert Dr. Jeroen Swart

Surely if you are unwell enough to receive a TUE. Then you shouldn't be competing?

And I continue to find it irritating that endurance athletes get out of breath when they exercises and it's therefore "exercise induced Asthma"

Evidently when I do my longer runs it turns out I'm asthmatic. Who knew rolleyes

Strange how athletes with exercise induced asthma make it to the top, but those without don't...
So is the asthma a 'benefit' or is the cure what makes the difference...

An 80mg dosage of the corticosteroid triamcinolone in October 2008 and a dose of morphine after he collapsed post training in 2014.

Not quite the smoking gun some were expecting.

This leak actually seems to have achieved the reverse for the hackers.

Before it was thought that people were using tue's to take medication constantly that would enhance their performance.

In reality the TUE's appear to be used as they are intended-to treat specific conditions only when necessary.

But more often than not, they seem to be taken before the seasons big event. Coincidence?, just looks very dodgy ..

Of course it's dodgy
Multiple disciplines at the VERY highest level of global competition and regardless of where you were born, ethnicity, age or sex, the best of the best of the best damn near all have asthma? really??...unless of course my knowledge and experience of it is outdated, I presumed asthma was a debilitating disease that reduced lung capacity and therefore restricted past times that required extreme excursion...

Fair play for the all these athletes doing it all above board sanctioned by the governing bodies of this and that, but it smells, it smells really bad.

Admittedly certainly not at all. Seems to have turned out quite well for Mo. Good for him.
