Do you guys have any idea of human physiology and how training works? its easy to knock but I suspect you don't have any training to be qualified to make such comments.
Yes thanks.

LOL I wonder why she would want such a thing. Her marathon record stands out like a sore thumb if you look at how performances have been lowered by the men in the same 16 years.
Correct and commentators still point out East German and Chinese records being suspect, the women's marathon record is ridiculous as is Radcliffes transformation from perennial 4th place runner to top of the tree almost overnight

Woman's marathon is a very difficult sport to try to make performance based statistical arguments on.

The history of elite training for it is short, first in the Olympics in 1984, in many female sports there is also a much smaller elite talent pool and a much bigger spread of abilities within.

Hence outlier performances are more likely.

I can accept that. I won't draw any conclusion either way on Paula's rate of improvement. My original point was about how concerned she was about the public seeing her bloods results. Adding that to Wiggins, I'm concerned that there is a lot of treatment in elite sports that they all know is never going to be accepted as fair and clean (because it's dubious at best).

I find it quite sad.

I wonder how much negative publicity SKY will put up with before they decide they've had enough?

St least the Shane Sutton sexism stuff has blown over by this marginal truths gains/TUE debacle.

Be interesting won't it, but what does "had enough" mean in this case? Withdrawing from the sport when Froome is looking for three in a row? Can't see it.

PS biggrin @ "marginal truths"

had enough of what rumour and innuendo. They are still innocent until proven guilty and Wiggins isn't being investigated by anyone or any governing body. After Armstrong trust is not a word I would use but if you want to enjoy watching cycling you have to take riders on merit until proven otherwise.

Why is Brailsford continually lying then?

There is no smoke without fire, and his lies and getting more and more difficult to explain by the day...

Isn't it just easier and safer to do what I do and now just assume that everyone is on something or other?

Unfortunately, after watching this sport for about 17 years, I agree that it is the only way to go about it.

Worlds are on now. Wonder who is clean. smile

Isn't the UKAD investigating the matter?

Yes, but not Wiggins himself. John, surely you're not saying simply because Wiggins isn't being investigated there's nothing worth looking into or being sceptical about?

they are investigating the claim from Locke I believe. They have the details of all the TEU's and if as I believe these are all prescribed by a qualified Doctor and agreed to by the UCI or UKAD then what is it they can do its a bit like bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted. I doubt if UKAD find SKY clear of all wrongdoing that isn't going to stop the clamour for blood.

They're investigating the "medical package" delivery I think, as well as the Tramadol claims.

the Doctor has denied Locke's claims so that aint going anywhere and the same for the "package". I would like the UCI to produce a list of all Riders who have used the TEU scheme.
