She has very good reasons to 'hate' British Cycling. I would also question your assertion that she frequently ignored team orders.

Thanks. Wasn't Millar a banned doper? Struggling to find any neutral accounts of the Kenacort/Wiggins debate. Is the supposed weightloss the only performance enhancement?

Meh.

I never knew people were so gullible. Genuinely surprised.

confused Quite obvious someone already banned might have a bias against those who appear to be getting away with a perceived similar offence.

On the link you've provided a poster who claims to be a doctor (not a specific sports doctor) suggests the use of corticosteroids results in fat gain and muscle weakening. Not sure how that would be a performance boost, although other sites suggest weightloss. Like Wiggins has a lot to lose anyway. Millar suggests he felt bionic and was very vascular, yet another medical site states Kenacort is a vasoconstrictor. Odd. Millar doesn't state whether he was using any other drugs at the time however. From what I can tell Wiggins seems to have followed all the correct steps, and why not medicate before a race if it's allowed? All a bit murky.

"I’ve never taken Kenacort, but from what I have heard, it’s just rocket fuel. All of my injuries have involved me ending up in the hospital. I can only take it from guys I’ve spoken with, how good it is. Supposedly it makes you bionic. It strips down any muscle you’re not using, and any fat you have is used as energy. Your arms waste away, your legs become lean; the muscles you do use become all muscle, no fat."

That's exactly why it's so beneficial to pro cyclists! A couple of kilos to the man on the street is nothing but to An elite level cyclist before a GT with an increase in power is utopia especially if your not sick to start with!

Isn't Kenacort catabolic and don't cortisol based steroids increase fat deposits? I can't see any way corticosteroids could actually increase power.

You'd probably benefit from reading up on cycling a bit.

Having watched the sport for so many years I have now come to the conclusion that every pro-rider is on every substance they can find. And it is not just at this level, even at the lower levels.

The question is of course is how does a 18yr old get EPO.
