Yes, I know he's a sprinter, mostly anaerobic . For endurance stuff (over 2 mins) it's all about getting the most Oxygen to the muscles and using it efficiently.
All totally normal and that Catabolic steroids would eat lean muscle mass which would not be good for cycling! Yes, I know he's a sprinter, mostly anaerobic . For endurance stuff (over 2 mins) it's all about getting the most Oxygen to the muscles and using it efficiently.

The problem with the TDF and other sports like F1 is that sitting at home watching it makes us all believe we could achieve it. However those guys are nothing short of remarkable.
They are effectively riding 100miles EVERY, SINGLE day for nearly 3 weeks. If you compare it to running, I would class it as running a competitive marathon at pace for the same duration.

I could ride 100 miles a day for 21 days. One day of racing 100 miles and I am pretty trashed though. They are effectively riding 100miles EVERY, SINGLE day for nearly 3 weeks. If you compare it to running, I would class it as running a competitive marathon at pace for the same duration.

They generally spin the legs for most stages baring a few days that make or break the race.

In the past the might have been the odd transition day were things were taken easy, but modern days it’s full on racing most of the time. An “easy day” will still average well over 30mph. These guys don’t mess around.
