It's the backs trying to remind the forwards that they actually exist, that taking one against the head is not a victory. In effect the backs are saying, 'Hi, I'm the chap who scores, remember me? Now stop hugging one-another and next time try and get the ball out to the guys whom the spectators have come to see.'

Or something like that.
Has anyone told Derek that Austin Healy has hacked his log-in?
My point exactly. Everyone knows his name. Scored a few points as well. Fun to watch as well.

We've had the worst start to a season in our club's history. We've lost centres and wings. Yet when our second row, who captained a number of England under 19 international matches, against Oz and NZ, without a loss, in other words a significant player for the team, the tactics were changed slightly with regards to rucks, and we maintained our average results.

We had a dominant scrum on Saturday, in a tight league game. 2 of our tries came from turnover ball against the head. Both times the scorer jogged down the pitch and thanked the scrum for the effort. I even got a pat on my bum smile

Bravo. Did the opposing scrum half not feed the ball far enough into their second row, or did you just shove them off it?

They could have fed their No8 and we would still have got it wink
