The referee had an appalling game yesterday, his decision to send off Daly was probably correct but the inconsistency shown later in the half was poor. He got tied up in the technical aspects at the end of the first half getting a lot of the penalty calls wrong and not recognising Argentinian foul play in the scrum.
The Argentinians to their credit were very competitive but ultimately the power, fitness and nouse of England won through in the end. Great captaincy from Hartley kept them largely steady other than the beginning of the second half.
Only slightly disappointing part of the afternoon was the booing of the Argentinian kicker by the crowd- not rugby. Bring on the Crims!

We were there - not very impressive! Not Twickenham-worthy really!

Every front row player cheats in every scrum. Argentina are probably the best scrummagers in the world and are consequently better at it than our lot. At least they were better at it at the end of the first half. Coles yellow card had an inevitability about once the Argies kept the pressure on by choosing multiple scrums.
I found the booing by the crowd rather odd at that stage. Probably drunks who know very little about scrummaging.

Agree, not the atmosphere I want to be part of. Wish I had tickets for next weekend as well but all sources failed this time.

Presumably nobody watching from the stands would've been able to see much of anything at all, but watching it on TV, it looked pretty obvious to me that it was the Argentine loosehead bringing the scrums down, not Cole.

I may not have played in the scrum, but I certainly wasn't drunk, and I could understand anyone English booing the ref's decisions at that point.

That kind of makes my point. It looked to me like Cole was under a lot of pressure and chose to go down. If however the Puma L/H collapsed it, he did it so the referee was fooled Good play by him. Well cheated. Everyone does it. When Marler does the same he's a hero!

It doesn't, though, explain how the ref is supposed to call it from the wrong side of the scrum where he can't see the binds.

It seems a fundamental issue with the scrum, and one which is, in my view, increasingly damaging the game. Maybe, at the top levels at least, they need a second scrum official to cover the other side?

as Brian Moore says ex-frontrowers to be in with the TMO, should sort things out nicely

Brian Moore, ex player, lawyer and qualified ref. He makes sense and if the ref can't do his job correctly then change the system- Rugby is progressive when it comes to ensuring the rules are followed.

Having now seen the highlights I'm loving the Eddie Jones half time advice of "when do you have the opportunity to win with 14 men?" Brilliant.

So new rankings today.

Wales will leapfrog South Africa and this will be the first time since rankings came into play that South Africa are 7th in the world. Yes 7th!!! Really the performance they put in on Sat was far lower than that.

Brian Moore described that side on Saturday as, "the worst South African team I've ever seen" (or words to that effect. My SA mates at work are beyond depressed about it.

Fully agree it's a hollow victory for Wales.

Wales didn't play that well - but as time passes Wales physically have 3 wins against the mighty SA.

I assume everyone has seen the amazing attempt of a winger helping out in the scrum? If not...enjoy!

Probably the best way to get tickets is to join one of the smaller rugby clubs and buy your tickets through the club.

Or are you saying that you get your tickets F.O.C.?

Got two tickets for Saturdays game - taking my 11 year old rugby playing lad for his first time at Twickenham.
Can't bloody wait.

I'm a season ticket holder at Tigers so got mine through them.
The club I coach at also have a few tickets floating around.
