Autumn Internationals Nov 2016 Rugby

That was an impressive performance. It would have been easy to let the Aussie grip in the first 20 become match winning. Recomposing, then stepping up through the gears was very AB-esque.
England v Ireland in the 6N could well be the decider. And they need the ABs on their current scalp list. It's an obvious omission from the year's win list that Sky just flashed up on screen.

Mike Brown has gone down like a footballer there
Never a yellow in a million years!
I'd disagree with that. Not a yellow, and possibly not even a penalty, but it was a pretty bloody hefty shoulder right in the chest, so I don't think it was a dive either.Never a yellow in a million years!
late
no attempt at wrapping arms
shoulder to the chest (on the verge of 'high' these days)
cynical
card all day long, stupid, stupid, stupid
Cracking day out, lad thoroughly enjoyed it (his face when he saw inside the stadium at how big it is was a picture).
First 15/20 mins were a bit concerning, but what a performance in the 2nd half!
Food was good, and the two miserable (even before the game started!) Aussies sitting next to us buggered off with 15 mins left

Great result...character building a bit like beating the Argie's with 14 men for most of the match. Phenominal year yet you can see there's areas to improve on. As Jones has said the Attack is the last building block, ball in hand the Aussies look so much more clinical (haven't they always).

TBH it was a bit of dull play by the Aussie there and a cheap shot, I saw it and thought straight away it could be a card. Here's the thing:

The flip side claim being that there's nothing in the laws ro say the Aussie has to get out of Brown's way, and he didn't change his line or attempt a tackle, he just braced himself for impact and Brown bounced off him and came off worst.late

I thought it was pretty close between the two viewpoints. If he had properly wrapped his arms, then penalty for the late tackle. Because he didn't, flip of a coin between no offence and a yellow card.
Awesome character in the first 20 mins to keep in the game, holding up the two potential tries ensured the victory was achievable. Pace and passing was night and day in the second half, good discipline, Robshaw a rock again and JJ cool as you like taking his chances. Youngs really coming on, Hughes stepped up at no.8 and Yarde had great power.
Ref listened to EJ and kept an eye on the Aussie scrum.. Yellow card justified if a bit of nothing, thems the modern rules!
Great year and 4-0 v the Crims will hurt them badly.

did I see a little argie-bargie betwixt Brown and Yarde at one point in the match?
I saw a couple of occasions where Brown looked to be congratulating Yarde a little more energetically than maybe Yarde looked like he might be enjoying. The carding was silly and not worth getting put in the bin for but if you haven't worked the rule out by now you deserve 10 minutes off anyway.
I'm still baffled at this team. What the hell is Eddie Jones doing?

Greater rugby brains than yours and mine, dear boy, decided that it was a yellow card.
I was half paying attention to the commentary, and I think it was Brian Moore who described it as a yellow card for being stupid.hornetrider said:

and for the life of me, I cannot see any reference to his refereeing qualifications?
Should I read it again, do you think?
