Bodhi, how were the courses down there?
I've been down there with a group the last three years and really enjoy it, despite the 80's social club deco throughout
We're down there late May this year, so fingers crossed we'll get some decent weather and the course will be in good nick.
The first year I went, I think it was late March and we had to abandon the last day's play due to snow!!

They were quite variable at the time we went down - the Pines was playing well (that's where I had the 77), but we played the back 9 of the Kigbeare on the Saturday morning and it was dubious whether it should have been open. Puddles and brown sludge in the greens, and many great shots down the middle were plugging never to be seen again. It had recovered impressively well by the Sunday though, still not perfect but much better. As long as it doesn't rain between now and May you should be fine I would have thought.
You will also be happy to know they haven't redecorated, all still very Fawlty Towers, but I wouldn't have that place any other way. They're actually building a new block down by the Beeches 1St tee, we were contemplating whether that would get decorated exactly the same way

For you golf fans, I live in Georgia and wanted to share the weather. Yesterday, we had tornado's and very heavy storms with lightening which lasted for 30 minutes at a time, so it was the right call to call off the par 3 tournament.
Today - Thursday it's chilly for here being only about 12C but there are 20mph winds so it could be tricky today. Friday is expected to be similar, then back to blue skies on Saturday and the winds becoming much lighter.
Feels like holding it together Thursday and Friday might be the key then attacking on Saturday

Got to say that was poor from Dustin Johnson yesterday. He must have known warming up that he was going to struggle to play so therefore should have pulled out before he tee'd off. He's denied someone of an opportunity to play and was a pretty selfish act if you ask me.
In other news, that wa s a very gutsy back 9 from Rory with some great saves to keep his round going. Round of a winner

I'm liking Justin Rose's form at the moment.
I agree with DJ but I'm not sure they can pop someone in his place if he pulls out the night before can they? He said in interviews he could only swing 70% max and that was still painful so no point in playing. Maybe he only gets his fee if he turns up on the first tee?

Invitation only isn't it? Don't think they have reserves! In other news, that wa s a very gutsy back 9 from Rory with some great saves to keep his round going. Round of a winner

I can't get an answer from google. Normally, a tournament has reserves hoping someone drops out. Dunno if the Masters is different in that respect.
Pretty sure the masters doesn't have reserve players. There was a player(his name escapes me) who dropped out a few years ago and it meant someone would have had to play on their own on Saturday so the 'best' member from Augusta played and actually ended up shooting a lower score -1 i think? The guy was a scratch player (i think)kentlad said:
