I have 4 wedges and wouldn't be without any of them!

My current bag:

3 wood (13)
3 Hybrid (19)
4 hybrid (22)
5 hybrid (26)
6 iron (30)
7 iron (33)
8 iron (37)
9 iron (41)
PW (46)
GW (50)
SW (55)
LB (60)
Putter

I still have room for my driver. When I can hit it!
Thanks - I'm usually very consistent with my driver so wouldn't be without it!

I think that if I went down the same route as you, my wedges would be PW (46), GW (51), SW (56), LW (60).

Just seen that the P770s are £1,099 rrp and the P750s are £1,499..

Just wondering - I am more than happy with my current putter, apart from on sunny days the chrome finish reflects sunlight straight into my eyes. Am I bonkers for wanting to replace it with a putter made famous in the late 80's by a certain Mr Faldo?

(Ignore the description in the link, as it isn't a TaylorMade smile)
It doesn't matter what it is or how much it costs, as long as you like it. I've been using a Wilson TPA III putter for the last 12 years. I found it in a bargain bucket for £10 and it's the best money i've ever spent. I've tried all other kinds of Scotty's etc since and none of them compare to how this one feels to me smile

Edited to ad a pic of it. It looks a right state but it works!!

That is serious cash!

I don't think they look that nice to be honest - if I was that good and had money to burn I'd always be looking at some Mizuno blades!

They look a bit chunky to me, but then I've played blades for 12 years now, so most irons look chunky to me smile

£1,499 is some serious cash though, presumably plus any shaft upgrades during fitting. For that cash I'd be heading down to Brocton Golf Club, where I'm reliably informed the chap there would fit you for a set of Miura MB-001's, or if you're feeling ultra brave, the Baby Blades.

I certainly don't want anything too chunky, but I'm getting older and playing less, so maybe the P770s for me, rather than the P750s, but it will very much depend on how they look in person, how they feel and most importantly how the numbers compare to my current clubs.

Whilst the money isn't a major hurdle if I can see some big differences, I'm quite happy if the results suggest that I can save a decent amount a maybe just tweak my set-up by changing wedges and fairway woods, for example.

With the lead tape in the back of the head you've obviously tweaked it to suit (Swing weight is a massive feel factor for putters), surely its just a case of finding a club to do the same too? or heading the down the custom route (Raa, Edel, or Evnroll).

Yes it was just a little on the light side but for me the asthetic aspect is far more important. I just really like the way it looks and sits behind the ball which gives me confidence on the putt itself smile

Hello all, happy new year. I'm starting mine with a difficult decision, which is whether or not to accept an invite for 36 holes at St Pierre next month with a good bunch of lads. Only reason I'm swithering is a nagging wrist injury. I thought it was finally behind me at our local course last week when I got eight points on the first two holes (!) but then on the 3rd it went again. Slowly recovering once more and almost tempted to just go for it and hope it's clear by then.

Some super holes at St Pierre - I hosted an event there last year.

Playing off 17 and looking at the amount of water there I reckon I'll have to don the ball ammo belt.

True that, I've got a battle ship in a Scotty Futura X. Love the thing after struggling with putters for years.

Anyone interested in a Taylor Made 'Spider' putter?

I like the look of it behind the ball and I've persevered for quite some time, but I just don't seem to be holing many putts with it, so am thinking of going back to my More traditional looking TM 'Rosa' putter.

Very nice, they were a cracking range the TPA, sad Wilson haven't brought it back actually.

Age etc of the putter doesn't bother me (I'm still using a Yonex I bought in 1996, and the best player in our club putts with an original Golden Goose) it's more feel and performance.

I'm after a great feeling putter that is heel shafted but not too soft - I'm very interested in an Odyssey #9 but not been a huge fan of their inserts - use a soft ball and it's like putting with a marshmallow - but I'm going to take a very close look at the O-Works when it comes out, going on Mickelsons feedback (he designed the Yonex I've had for 20 years, so like his input smile).

Unless I've missed any? Not a huge fan of Scotty Cameron's due to price and lack of feel, not sure who else does similar?

Or, get the Chrome finish in the Yonex redone in Satin. Decisions decisions....

Are you a massive Taylormade fan? I can't imagine why anyone would pay that much for seven irons.

The Apex Pro are amazing (friend has them). I'd certainly check them out as a players cavity, look amazing, feel unbelievable.

Man after my own heart smile the Yonex I have is a Super A.D.X Tour Forged, which is an 8802 in Carbon Steel with a graphite shift, had it since 96 and 5 putters have failed in that time to kick it out.

So it's time to give number 6 a go. Went to our local driving range and they had a clearance on Odyssey putter, so have the previous Works Versa #9 to try out. So far it seems more consistent than the Yonex (but the Yonex holes more), going to have to try it on grass before I make my mind up though.

Versa 9 looks nice, but the Super A.D.X is cloud9

I get how you feel, being in pretty much the same position, I want a new shiny putter, but cannae give up the 8802!
