At least try and get your facts right. The last time England played Romania, the score was 67-3.

Despite the error, it doesn't matter.

It's all hypothetical, but if Romania were good enough to beat a current 6 Nations side in a play off context then in theory the side they beat would also be capable of being beaten by England by a large margin. More so if they could secure their spot and relegate another side too.

Awesome. They'll massively improve the 6N as a spectacle for sure

I doubt it would be much worse than Italy, widely known to all fans in other nations as "the weekend which you're prepared to sacrifice to whatever your wife wants to do so that she doesn't nag you too much during the other fixtures", but it's academic under my proposal, as they'd still have to beat Italy in Rome to get the chance to play in the Six Nations the following year.

The simple fact is that Italy add nothing to the spectacle of the Six Nations beyond wondering just how epic Parisse could've been playing for one of the other nations, so at least the introduction of Romania or Georgia would provide an interesting different city for travelling fans to look round, and we'd go back to properly being able to support the underdog against the other nations, rather than resenting Italy for still being the underdogs after so many years.

On another matter, can you name three things that Scotland and Wales have in common?

How about..

1. They're both Celtic nations.
2. They both border England.
3. They both have fewer registered rugby players than Italy!

That's right... Even with almost twenty years of access to the top table of European rugby and over 87,000 registered players to choose from, Italy still manage to be languishing several places in the World rankings behind the veritable behemoth of Rugby that is Georgia, with their 7,859 registered players condemned to pariah status in the second tier of the game.

Seriously.... Can you give me one single valid reason why Italy should be kept in the Six Nations instead? And before you say it, "because they could get better if they weren't so corrupt and incompetent is not a good reason"!

Interestingly Denny Solomona [sp] has just declared for England... is he the real deal or another Lesley Vainikolo?

Well, he's certainly doing the business for Sale.

Definitely worth a look in Argentina whilst the big boys are away in New Zealand.
