So... Scotland beat Ireland, who put nearly twice as many points on Italy as Wales did.

Guessing it's going to be a Wales win tomorrow, but this must be one of the best chances they've had north of the border for a while?
Balls. Should've had more faith in them for the fantasy league prediction.

Two more tough games to call left for Wales against France and Ireland. Lot of competition this year.

the other Q is has Alun WJ messed up his chances of lions captaincy with some seriously duff calls (a la Chris Robshaw in RWC15)?

Not a match that I found riveting. Both defences were top class. Some fierce tackling. Ireland deserved the win, but only just.

North can't tackle, Biggar has an ego and is gobby, Davies panicks at centre and we didn't take the points. Scots deserved

Rejoice, everyone. Howley is the Lions attack coach.

If it's the call I'm thinking of, AWJ pointed to the posts. Neil Jenkins was on the pitch. Biggar took the ball and went for the corner. At least, that's the one I was bhing about.

I'd still have AWJ as Captain. Only other Welsh contenders for a shirt at this point in my view are Rhys Webb and Sam at 7.

For me the back row combination isn't working and I would revert to Lydiate at 6 and Sam back to 7.

Lions for me at the moment.

English props. Best at 2.
Locks AWJ and Launchbury.
Back row CJ, Sam and Heaslip
Webb
Sexton
North... just, on reflection. Not getting the service at the moment.
Farrell
JJ
May
Hogg

Are you forgetting Conor Murray or just not picking him ? He was superb again today.

No not forgetting him. I think Rhys Webb offers a bit more guile so just gets the nod for me. Murray would be on my bench.

Can only see that game going one way. smile

But if it were at Murrayfield I might be a bit less certain. Good year for Scotland.

I agree that is a clusterfk. Quite what Biggar was thinking I don't know but hopefully he's put in his place.

After watching that, and thinking back to a couple of weeks ago, did Wales really REALLY up their game against England, or was it a close game between two not particularly on form sides?

Given that Wales were poor against Italy too, it's a little worrying!
I think England are missing Billy V more than they realise. You can underestimate just how much space he buys you

I also think AWJ should be put in his place over the incident as well, but is Howley the person to do it?

If fit, I think Kruis and Billy V are test certainties.
