Went to bed at halftime thinking the Falcons have got this in the bag. How the hell did they pull it off and get the win?

Fair play to the Patriots, and certainly to Brady for winning 5 SuperBowls. Up there as the greatest QB ever to have played the game.

I wanted to go to bed after the first half, and thought that i'd just see the first Atlanta score in the second half and then knock it on the head....

Fair play to Brady and the Patriots, he looked down and out towards the end of the first half. What a way to fix his place in history.

So? If I wanted to see a rock concert I'd watch a rock concert. As it was the game was infinitely more exciting and entertaining than anything she - or anyone else for that matter - could come up with.

One might argue that if you didn't want to see a half time show then the Super Bowl was probably the wrong sporting fixture to watch.

I thought Lady Gaga was very good.

The game was bizarre, really enjoyed it. There was something inevitable about the turnaround when Atlanta didn't do the obvious in the 4th and go for the field goal, just run the clock down.

Indeed one might, however I didn't just want to watch a late night sporting event, I did want to watch the game and have seen plenty of NFL on the box since I first started watching in the mid 80s.

The Superbowl has always had a half time show, its very much a part of the cultural experience America enjoys annually, its usually their largest TV audience each year and the half time show is a big draw for those numbers.
