If they want a big tournament in Dubai, go and set one up - don’t take the World Championship away from it’s home. If you have ever been there, you know it is a fabulous venue for it (aside from not selling as many big money tickets for Barry).
I thought the final was cagey - understandable, in many ways, but I’m happy for Kyren that he won.

Was my first time there this year after doing the Barbican a bunch of times. Glad I finally ticked it off, it is a cool little place and the setup they have with the courtyard and Winter Garden is fantastic. Just childhood heroes casually walking about taking photos and talking to fans etc.I watched two sessions, the first from a quarter and the next from the Bingham/Jones semi. Meant we got to see the Crucible in both table formats and it really was quite different.
Quality of the sessions I watched were both pretty poor, to be honest. Both had Jak Jones in so trying not to beat him up too much as it wasn't all his doing. Trump can blame JJ all he wants for "dragging him down" or whatever, but his potting just wasn't there either even when he did get (many) chances. Likewise with Bingham.
Bingham is great though. After a god-awful session from both of them that saw it cut short by a frame so they could get the next match underway, he finally slotted in a century on the final frame and really brought the crowd along with it. Great entertainer, and was clearly a bit embarrassed that they'd put on such a show.
Maybe I'm spoiled from a Lisowski/Murphy(?) match we watched in York last year which saw back to back centuries for seemingly the whole match. I do like tactical play, but you can't just call long frames tactical just because they're long. If the chances are there and being squandered, then it's just poor quality.
Hopefully will be back to the Crucible before it moves, but I'd like to see a final next... and Crucible final tickets are not easy to come by.
I think it is the intimate feel that the Crucible has that makes it special, yes it is cramped and not enough tickets to satisfy the craving for money.
Putting it in a bigger space is likely to lose the intimate feel of the place, you would have thought there are plenty of other competitions to generate the big money and leave the World Championship in the Crucible as a special competition.
Unfortunately money talks, the subtle and special things that don't generate money get lost in the rush. This is why our heritage gets preserved through legislation, etc as the big money would just knock it all down without a second thought.

But in hindsight the pressure & the tension got to them.
I think Kyren Wilson would have played better against O’Sullivan as losing to him while he wins his 8th title is forgivable, losing to the world No.44 is not.
Kyren was playing a match where the pressure to win was vast.
Jones played with the pressure of never being in any final let alone that one.
Forgivable, and I am now a Jak Jones fan after his excellent post match interview.
A humble guy who has just got the golden ticket career wise, catapulted into the top 16.
