Wales.

Even with Gatland in charge.

I really hope they win a game, but I really hope it isn't against England!

We are the only 6N they haven't beaten so it must be our turn sometime soon.

I'm assuming we are all friends here, and there won't be too many damp flannels in their chinos and Loake loafers trying to keep this thread too serious?

I own both chinos and oxblood Loake tasselled loafers.

I full of optimistic bonhomie as this annual jamboree gets underway, but I’ve got red lines when it comes to chinos and Loakes.

I don't wear them at the same time. I only wear chinos on holiday when long 'pants' are requited.

The loafers though...

Good natured banter is all very welcome but do remember Socksy that you suffered a small sense of humour failure yourself in the RWC thread wink

As a proud Englishman with a Grandmother in the Irish camp and a joi de vivre for the game - I just hope Italy don’t complete their 6N full house laugh

Should be interesting post RWC retirements. Eng will look quite different with all the retirements, exodus to France and injuries. Will Borthwick change the playing style? I don’t think so frown

I put Fra ahead of Ire even without Dupont, Sco ahead of Eng, then Wal and Ita.

Absolutely. As long as you agree to not try and shoehorn the AB’s into every second post. Deal?

I think he'll have to change his approach with the players he's got. That's much less difficult than forcing players to go against their natural flair.
I'd put the 6N in this order.
Fra
Ire
(Eng/Scot)
Wal
Ita.

Well obviously not. They're not playing. biggrin RWC was a bit different wasn't it?

I'm just here to watch rugby. As I did yesterday, two great matches in the Premiership. But that's for the other thread.

Same order although we’ll know the relative ranking of France and Ireland by the end of Friday. Also, I think Gatland’s a canny old bugger so might very well manufacture a few surprises.

As for Borthwick, he’ll absolutely have to adjust for new personnel but I reckon they’ll still be under order to box kick the st out the ball under pressure, which they’ll do, badly. I hope not, but, well, you know.

Very interested to see how they go without Farrell.

The centres will get more ball and we'll get less penalties

I'd agree with that. I don't think you'll miss him.
