How shite and diluted has our game become,i remember back to 1970 and the Chelsea v Leeds Utd final, there were so many more great charachters on the pitch and the game was full of events.

Cup Finals vary a lot - even in the "old" days there were boring matches (Man City V Leuicester - 1969, Arsenal V Ipswich - 1978).
I think the new pitch had a certain part to play in the rather lethargic look to Saturday's match.
The pitch didn't help, but I think last year's game between West Ham and Liverpool has been the only non-boring Cup Final since the inception of the Premiership?I think the new pitch had a certain part to play in the rather lethargic look to Saturday's match.
