Surely Sheff United should just turn up at all West Hams fixtures next season and play the games, worst thing that can happen is a small fine.

Just because West Ham think they've terminated the agreement doesn't make it so. There's never been any confirmation from MSI on this

Not true.
Just because you would like it to go away - it doesn't mean it will.

So you have an 'opinion' based on evidence you cannot disclose, whereas the premier league appointed an independent commission who, having considered the matter fully and in light of copious evidence, decided that a fine was appropriate punishment. You honestly think that your 'opinion' outweighs the commissions findings?

You think OJ is innocent don't you?
Because the nice Mr Judge said so......rolleyes

I clearly have an opinion you don't like, I suspect because you would like to try and imagine that West Ham aren't now viewed as dirty cheats by all and sundry.

The fact is - you won't CHANGE my opinion, so why bother trying?

You seem to be in denial that it isn't just me who thinkes this whole affair has a bad smell to it...FIFA are looking into it, legal action is in the pipeline and even the Wigan Chairman - who has no sour grapes - has stated his case against it...

My opinion outweighs [and is supposed to outweigh] NOTHING....

But it is my informed opionion, whether you like it or not.
As for 'giving up'....I'll see you the other side of forever before I 'give up

I am not sure that 'informed' is the right word.

Paranoid
Paranoid personality disorder is characterized by a distrust of others and a constant suspicion that people around you have sinister motives. People with this disorder tend to have excessive trust in their own knowledge and abilities and usually avoid close relationships with others. They search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others. They are quick to challenge the loyalties of friends and loved ones and often appear cold and distant to others. They usually shift blame to others and tend to carry long grudges.

Read you own dictionary clippings David - try to understand them before you blindly fire them off...
- you really need to take more time when you make these responses designed to be witty and intellectual.

Shall we move directly to name calling now?
I take it this heralds the end of any reasoned discussion..?

You have no idea how informed my opinion is, not that it really matters. But if you think that everyone who thinks West Ham cheated and got away with it is paranoid, thats your call.

Sounds a bit like paranoia to me though.

You seem to think that the premier league officials are conspiring against you, the independent commission are in on it, and you have special (secret) information that means you know the truth despite the published evidence to the contrary. Why is that?

I don't think there is any conspiracy against the Blades at all...

I think there has been some cheating by West Ham, and some further inconsistencies in the punishment - thats all.

I am not the only one who thinks this - action is being taken.

All I have is my opinion - you call it special, you call it 'the truth' - I call it my opinion.

Genuine question, what do you think of this statement by the premier league "The League could not function if other clubs could effectively intervene in an attempt to overturn decisions not to their liking."

Its a fair statement, but I think it is dangerous to try and foster a culture for ruling absolute and unchecked - which is what that sounds like...

There are implications and actions outside the Premier League where the jurisdiction of the League is uncertain..and FIFA independently showing an interest suggests even the PL answer to someone....

There are mistakes made by referees every week, up and down the country, and anyone one mistake could cause a club to be relegated, miss a place in Europe or even miss out on the title. If the premier league officials back down in this case it could set a precedent for every time a goal is wrongly disallowed or a foul missed. If for no other reason, I think this will mean the decision stands.

I don't think that a legal challenge outside the football world will succeed either, all of he clubs agreed to abide by the rules set by the premier league and I can't see a law court interfering.

If, as the premier officials insist, their own rules were followed then the decision should, and will, stand.

Thats been said, answered, said again...answered again and I'm bored of it.

Read the thread - we have agreed to disagree. How dumb do you have to be to re-start an argument in order to demand it stops ???

Just read the thread, have an opinion and sit tight whilst *SHOCK* some people want more answers DESPITE West Hams fans wanting to "move on" and "forget about it"...rolleyes
