OK I don't follow football that closely, so forgive me if he did appear for England: Matt le Tissier...

He did.

But should`ve got many more caps IMHO.

The classic "luxury player."

Jimmy Montgomery, legendary goalkeeper, funnily enough, after yesterdays events, he also played for Birmingham

Even more funny after the weekends events we are beating LEEDS hehe

Ryan Giggs is a very good shout. Could have, should have, didnt.

Didn't he play for Wales? confused

Yes. Played for England as a schoolboy and then chose to play for Wales. He was eligible to play for either.

Thats a myth.

Ryan Giggs could only play for Wales and does not and never did have a choice to play for England. Its correct that he played for England schoolboys but simply because of the fact that he attended an English school at the time.

I was MD of the company that made his Football Boots for a while and I had a promo video of his great goals put together for a sales conference in Singapore. Awesome! I defy you to find any player about whom you could compile a comparable collection. Spent a day with matt on a photo shoot once too and he's a really nice guy.

AH! the legendary Tony Coton.......it was said ,more likely to appear on crimewatch than match of the day!!!!!

In the legendary Birmingham team of the the mid-eighties , won 13 times AWAY in one promotion season......a mixture of equisite thugs like Mark Dennis ,Noel Blake, Robert Hopkins, Pat van den hauwe, Howard Gayle and the supreme tough nut Mick Harford

Always up for a scrap on and off the pitch

Tony's family are from Tamworth and are Bluenoses through and through IIRC?

Thinking about goalkeepers (and there must be more than any other in the category) I thought about Jimmy Rimmer, but he got one cap....one cap! Any quality goalkeeper around during the Clemence-Shilton double decade will be contenders.

Just ignore our Convict Chum

the only 'football' he knows is when a bunch of blokes dress up in skin tight shorts, cut down tank tops and huddle together when they're not skipping along and patting an egg shaped ....errr ball?
