There's shed loads of rivalry out there.....bitter vile twisted hatred .....which is good sometimes

but are there teams that your fans tend to get on with ? I'm not talking kissy kissy lets have a big hug and nice cup of tea....but the teams you've always enjoyed a bit of social banter with?

in my personal experience , Birmingham fans don't seem to have a problem with
1) West Brom.....neighbours and no problems at all
2) Southampton (never seen aggro at all vs saints and always drank in their boozers with no problems ...indeed we were drinking with them the other week at our place)
3) Liverpool ....maybe cos we usually get spanked by them on the pitch!
4) Newcastle ...maybe cos we don't understand what they are saying

on the other hand .....don't even go there with

1) Villa - do i need to expand?
2) Stoke - legendary for 'aggro'
3) Cardiff - could start a riot in a room on their own
4) Portsmouth - dunno why - just always
5) Huddersfield - stuck in the eighties this lot!

I prefer a pie and a pint and a bit of banter to the thuggery that's still about at some places.

We (WBA) would add Wolves (obviously), Leeds and Burnley to the "don't even go there" list.

Always found Manchester City fans good for a laugh and a beer, whatever the result.

As Saints fans travelling in small numbers, we never used to shy away from the home fans' pubs and got a warm welcome at most places - especially Liverpool, Coventry and Palace..

Can't really say the same for Fr**ton Park and Elland Road... hehe

As for away fans visiting our pubs, not seen any aggro down here for a long time (P**pey and Leeds aside, of course )

Exeter always seem(ed) to have problems with:

Plymouth - Nuff said, scum o' the earth eh Tyre Smoke? hehe
Torquay - Nowhere near as bad, but I remember the odd scuffle
Bristhole Rovers - Filthy scummers.
Aldershot - Animals

On the other hand we have always got on relatively well with Bristol City (probably because they hate Plymouth as well!)

Portsmouth and Blackburn lads always come in our pub when they come to Anfield.

Walked into the wrong end of Cardiff for the FA Cup last year, that was a litle edgy.

EDITED to add

Tranmere and Charlton fans are good for a laugh too.....never a problem

That's because we (City) hold a certain position unrivaled by any other club.

WE HATE MAN UTD....WE ONLY HATE MAN UTD
repeat for 45 minutes
down 2 pints at half time
repeat for 45 minutes

City fans have never had any real aggression issues with other clubs, yes we are very well supported and do take large numbers away...but generaly it's peacefull and involves lots of beer however due to the numbers when it does 'go off' it's major.

Sad is the man who can only cheer against a team, because their own team gives them nothing to cheer about.

The one thing i will miss when Dagenham & Redbridge take their place in the football legue next season, sharing a beer and joke with the opposing fans without wanting to have a major barny...
.......although Alderhot and Oxford have the odd hissy fit.

Now Man Utd v Leeds , now thats pretty evil

And highly unliklely for a long, long, long, long, long time to come hehe Leeds are not going to do a Man City any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop right through League 1 next season as well.
