There have been some real shockers who have put on the England shirt!!

Tony Daley - Useless

Dave Beasant - Couldn't catch a cold

Geoff Thomas - I recall the shot which hit the corner flag (I know he has been ill and I wish him all the best recovering, but he still should not have put on an England shirt)

Any more to add to the list?

Oh there have been so many. Remember Mark Barham? Thought not.
My vote goes to Carlton Palmer.

I have to agree Curle's performance was a shocker, a shame though as he was classy at Club level as a Centre Half, but the worst Full Back ever to wear an England shirt.

Anderton and Waddle also get my vote, they both were terrible, as was that scouse tw@t Mc Mananamanamanamannaman.

But the altime worse has to be Mark 'Hate'ly what a clown...was he really the best we had back in the 80's?

He puts on an England shirt and turns into Jonny Wilkison. Gets the ball 30 yards over the bar every time he shoots.

There have been some howlers made by managers in the recent past but there's one still being made now - without doubt one of the most over-rated footballers ever to grace a soccer field ...

Ashley Cole.
