It's interesting to see how many Liverpool "fans" haven't got a clue who's fit or who's likely to start, let alone (in the case of the OP) how many European Cups we've won.

Anyway, second-guessing Rafa is generally a bit difficult, but I reckon he'll start off pretty conservatively, with 4-5-1:

Reina, Agger, Carragher, Riise, Finnan, Mascherano, Alonso, Zenden, Pennant, Gerrard, Kuyt.

That said, it sounds like Zenden is doubtful, so he might be forced into 4-4-2. Will be interesting...
Which is why I shall take the dog to the allotment at about 7pm to water my prescious Sweet corn, and see what can be done with Nettles, whilst the wife swears at the Telly.
Have you and your wife had gender swap? hehe

Anyone know of ANYONE who got lucky with the ballot(s) I know of one lad who got lucky, that's it.
I know one person too, he got one ticket out of the 5 that he and his mates put in.

If she were a bloke and I a woman I'd have thrown the lazy arse out of the house long ago. Oh, keep forgetting she has ME/Chronic Fatigue and OCD and a sprained ankle too.

A Roit?. Is that another of these bizarre sporting injuries.

"Yeah, Stevie G's limping but it's just a slight strain but it looks like Harry has done his roit, he's going to be out for at least 3 months"

I think the ref ended the game early. He signalled 3 minutes of added time, and then there was a substitution which lasted ~45 seconds. But he still blew the whistle after 2 minutes and 30 seconds!

Liverpool fan? Depressed? Paid over the odds for a ticket? Still sitting on John Lennon airport runway? Can't talk about it to friends or family?

I do wish the Champions league had only the league champions in it. It's slightly farcical having a team that has had NO domestic title for over 18 years, (If memory serves me), as the 'best in Europe'.

Hmmm, still can't beat this equation:

5 x 1 = Liverpool

I will say that again for you,

5 times won = Liverpool

Really? How about having a team who was judged to be corrupt and penalised for fixing matches lifting the trophy?

No - I think Andy's suggestion is the better option. Maybe Liverpool would concentrate more on winning England first then. You never know Ferris, you might enjoy it if they put a decent challenge together for the Premiership. wink

I quite enjoyed winning the CL to be honest. However it would be good to win the prem. I don't see that happening for a few years though. It isn't as simple as just buying players. I think Benitez needs to get his head around playing away in the premiership, particularly against teams who set their stall out to defend. He needs more attacking flair and that's about mentality as much as it is about players.

Rafa will get it right getting rid of zenden is a start and Gonzalez so it looks like we have a winger on his way just get one on the right side and sell pennant back to Scum bruce. We defo need a striker who's 20 goals a season but not many of them around. Anyone agree with getting a left back and pushing Risse up to left mid he shoots he scores exactly what were missing. I for one just hope we don't bring owen back he's past his best and injury prone lets go for Mr Henry pure class.
