Sad weekend for the premiership. Probably the best foreign player to have played in the prem, however probably the right time for club and player to move on. Think he might struggle a little bit at Barca tho as their football is built around Ronaldinho... scratchchin

After the final weekend in La Liga last weekend, just goes to strengthen claims that La Liga is the best league in the world.

Good luck Thierry, think you might need it

confused
Why?

Surely not because a 31 year old striker has moved there for his last big payout, having had a VERY poor season last year by his own standards???

Now if Fabregas moved to play there........

Just goes to show that however much these players spout about 'loving the club' etc. they'll all go where the challenge is greater and so is the money!

Arsenal would not be a credible force in the Premiership next season and Henry knows that - so has jumped ship.

Look for Arsenal fading big time in the next five years and then being a mid-table side. We'll see if they fill that stadium then.

Wenger goes, McClaren gets the boot and Wenger gets his job? What odds on that I wonder scratchchin

I think that the kids at Arsenal played a lot better without Henry in the team last season, with Robin Van Persie back and maybe a £9m bid to activate Owens get out clause at Newcastle it could be happy times. Add Babel and Huntalaar along with Kompany and it could be very good

Not difficult to guess you support Spurs is it?

The whole post is utter boocks, seeing as we finished joint 3rd (only on GD did Liverpool finish 3rd) WITHOUT Henry last season. Are you that naive that you think we wont replace Henry?

And as for not filling the stadium, no chance. We had 39,000 watching the YOUTH team the night your mob played in the UEFA cup for losers last season which is more than Spuds can actually get in their stadium.

I'm sad Henry has gone, but the bottom line is he's 30 years old and its time to move on.

And Arsenal played in the Champions League once more without being Champions.

It's only UEFAs ing about with the tournaments that means Arsenal weren't in the UEFA Cup.

European Football is a mess. Only greed has changed the perfectly good:

European Cup
UEFA Cup
Cup Winners Cup

format.

Er, hang on we have been champions 13 times, how many times have Spurs won the Premier league?

You don't have to worry about the format of European football as you never take part in the top level of it.

As for us struggling to fill the new stadium, I'm still laughing, especially as we filled it for every single game last season and have a 40,000 waiting list for season tickets, with or without Mr Henry.

When Spurs win something you can start crowing, until then it's laughable for you to even comment!

My comment is purely on the ridiculous state of the Euro football format.

A 'League' that describes itself as 'Champions' is laughable if the teams who play in it are not that season's champions.

As for not being entitled to an opinion on this issue, well.....

i agree it should just be for champions. However, spuds fans would have been delighted to have qualified had they done so 2 years back. One figure for you ferg. 1961. You probably werent born rofl

I don't support Spurs at all Flasher! Just my opinion

You had Henry for a lot of the season ... and if your lot didn't try and walk the fcuker into the net everytime instead of putting their foor through it - you may have finished third ...

And I'm sure you thought "it's okay, he'll only stay a year" when Henry signed his long contract in May 2006 didn't you? Good business for Arsenal but think why it is he wants away ...

Time will tell eh?! (On your big watch probably) hehe

Anyway, I thought you supported Leicester now? scratchchin

Why is it with Arsenal fans that anyone who doesn't thnk the sun shines of Mr Blind Wenger's arse has to support Spurs ... rolleyes

Anyway, you sound like you feel threatened Flash, hence the outburst ... would fifth place this season mean meltdown ala Leeds? hehe
