i agree it should just be for champions.
I can't remember an occasion on this forum when anyone I have tried to have a conversation with has single-mindedly changed the subject so often.

What is it with Gooners that they have to buoy up their self esteem and that of their club by constantly worrying about other teams???? confused

Mikey you are a spurs fan so dont deny it even though its embarrassing! Henry didnt even play one third of matches last season. As a season ticket holder i should know. I may have moved to leicestershire but that doesnt make me a leicester fan! End of an era it may be but its not the end of arsenal. Lets see who we buy before we panic.

I think that the kids at Arsenal played a lot better without Henry in the team last season, with Robin Van Persie back and maybe a £9m bid to activate Owens get out clause at Newcastle it could be happy times. Add Babel and Huntalaar along with Kompany and it could be very good
Babel yes

Kompany yes

Huntelaar (1st person to score at Emirates) yes

But Owen?? nono

If anything, I'd rather we nicked Defoe.

If Bent signs Defoe will be available. I think arsenil need to aim a little higher than Defoe.

Arsenal scored 15 more goals than Tottenham, speaking of whom, Jermaine needs to aim a bit higher too.

To be fair, Martin Jols has made a good footballing side at the lane... Berbatov: what a coup if we were to get him after 12 months.

NB: "if". smile

You had Henry for a lot of the season ... and if your lot didn't try and walk the fcuker into the net everytime instead of putting their foor through it - you may have finished third ...
Nah probably challenging for the title. A great start to the season for Arsenal in terms of creating chances but not racking up the points when they were walking all over other teams and losing or getting draws.

Agree tho with it's a shame Henry is going as he seems to get team spirit going. Aderbayor is getting better all the time mind. Henry can be just as frustrating to watch in such a talented team as when he's getting great individual goals, seems to lack passing ability at times or trying to be flash when he doesn't need to. Teaming up with Ranaldinho I reckon will suit both players.

Nah Defoe will not leave Spurs, I hear Mido might be available for Arsenal, apparently The emirates makes him feel at home for his country of birth Egypt, any way I hear Fabergas wants to folllow Henry to Barca, then Arsenal will be in a mess, he was by far there best player last season.......I bet they wished they hadnt moved from that decrepid old staduim Highbury.laugh

credit must be given to Henry, one of the best strikers in the Prem, although Berbatov looks class, he may well now carry that mantle.

Cannot agree with that. Cantona was an absolute genius on the pitch. Henry is world class, don't get me wrong, but Le King will always be Eric.

Ooh aah, ooh aah. Ooh aah Cantona!
