I hate Tennis, I hate Henman* yet last nights match was enthralling viewing.
Sadly no TV in the office.

  • Famous for not wining anything of any real importance, does that clenched fist thing and has a nickname of tiger when I have seen kittens with more fiery venom hurling through their veins. In short a tantrum throwing tart.

He's just won the match! Good man.

Never won a Grand Slam title, but won plenty so far in his career (and > £10m). Tantrums? What tantrums?

There was an interview of him and Murray on a BBC sport programme a little while back. Kept on having little huffs and puffs with Murray and walking away.

In a match when things do not go his way his body language drops and he has the sulks.

But I am told he speaks very highly of me. smile

And yet you don't like him doing the clenched fist, pump himself up thing either... The poor guy can't win (and not just on court hehe)

You know those moments in your lifetime when you realise you have done something really embarrassing, you know really cringe-worthy. When you think back and think jesus why did I do that?
I think that for him everytime he does it.

And yet I am not entirely why I think like that, mainly because if I was playing someone (in any sport) and they did that I would laugh at them, it is like the weakest, softest way to pump yourself up.

Whereas I get the same feeling when I see some other players shouting to themselves to pump themselves up. Whatever works for each athlete I guess.

He's a very good player, on his day.

Doesn't make any difference to me whatsoever that he's never won a GS title.

I've enjoyed watching him over the years.

Good luck for Wimbledon Tim.

I don't care about his tennis, I just think he looks like a totem pole.

He does! It's that head!

Fkin brilliant performance to win that. He was 2-4 and 15-40 down in the final set last night. Shows huge guts and desire IMO.

He's been the best British mens player since Fred Perry and despite all the silly fist clenching I'd take him over a Canadian import or the spoilt brat Murray any day.
