What a shite start to the season for Man U. Held at home by Reading for a measley 1 point.

And to top it all, Rooney has broken his foot.

yes

Never mind, we seem to have discovered how to play expansive entertaining football at the expense of conceding two bl00dy goals to newly promoted Birmingham....

Still, we have gained two points on our nearest likely challengers already! thumbup

Premier League Standings.
1. Newcastle

Pity it'll be a few years till we see that again....

Little Michael Owen's gonna be a bench warmer if thats a sign of the season to come from Martins. Fantastic overhead kick.

Tell you what though, bloody good game to watch. Birmingham played very well but you couldn't see Chelsea losing it.

More entertaining than normal for a Chelsea game IMO. wink

Well done on getting the 'unbeaten home record'. Might be the only thing you get this season. biggrin

but I doubt it, somehow

Unlikely, no plans to go. This year anyway. Maybe next.

Next Sunday I'll be at City/United, in the City end. Supporting United.

Somehow I think, giving it large in my Griff with the roof down, no seat belt and a fag on would be safer. hehe

LOL. I kind of know what you mean, but I disagree - rather you than me mr bravery!

Disgracefully, I'm yet to renew my CFC membership although its on the to-do list for this week.... only way I'll get pucka match tickets otherwise!!

Premiership will be very close 2 horse race between Man utd and Chelsea with liverpool snapping at their heals. Arsenal will finish 4th again with Spurts, Barcodes, Villa, and Man City fighting for the rest of the european places. Bolton, Wigan, and Derby will probably go down.

Leeds will get mid table in League 1, anything more would be ing great, but its going to be another long hard season

Next weekend is some potentially top football action. Man Utd Versus Man City and the new enemy of Liverpool's Chelsea at home.

Now if Reading produce another solid performance like they did at the weekend and Toulouse are their normal troublesome self then both teams should be on the same performance level.

Bring on Man U next week...........
I can't wait, how easy can they make a start to a season, Reading and man city in a week, they might as well present us the trophy AGAIN nowbiggrin
Ha ha, how I laughed when reading this. Come on you mighty Royals! and with only 10 men too.

Best of luck for the rest of your season. We are off the be beaten by Chelsea on Wednesday...( maybe?)

Agreed. I thought Curbs' tactics were a bit suspect. It was clear that Etherington was having his best game for ages, so why stick HIM at left back when Deano came on for McCartney? That was why they scored the second. A real defender would not (I hope not, at least, but it's hard to tell with the Hammers) have let a centre back carve through our wing like that.

Our starts the last two years have been great. Shame that one was turd. grumpy

I want mid-table security for QPR.

Although apparantly we're more cash-strapped than usual and are otherwise completely stuffed, so it'll probably be another relegation battle.

But you've got Chelsea's promising young striker? Don't you have anymore players to win the ball and knock it up towards him?

We have quite a bit of promise yes.

But one thing I've noticed in my short years as a football supporter, when the backroom has problems it affects the morale of the whole team.

Right now our backroom stinks to high heaven, if we don't pay off £27 million by next year the team won't have a ground, and we'll be back in administration, our takeover bid has been rejected but no one knows why.

We do indeed have great talent, including Mancienne from Chelsea, but when the club is up brown creek without a paddle it makes things difficult for everyone, especially those on the pitch.

Two massive games tomorrow then.

Man City v. Man Utd - anyones guess. I'll be there but not with as much confidence than normal, I have to say.

Liverpool v. Chelsea - Draw, surely ?
