Did anyone see the Babalu fight? That was seriously out of order.

Randy was class as always.

Bloody hell! I want to see the undercard fight that made that huge blood stain on the octagon mat!
Yep that was the Babalu fight. The blood was from a head wound and afterwards it looked like something straight out of a horror film!

Was really suprised expected Ganzaga to be much better than that after seeing him fight in manchester.

Randy is awesome.

Would love to be at London, a lot of the fight card is similar fighters to Manchester. Terry Etim was superb then.

Another good fight apart from the main 3 fights will be Houston Alexander Vs. Alessio Sakara.

75 really does look to be a great Fight Card

I was wondering about that too. Any idea where I can watch it - they didn't have it on Bravo frown a very controversial ending I read but I haven't watched it.

The Babalu fight was on the preliminary card. If you just type something like: babalu heath video, into google you should be able to find it.

Thanks, I found it - difficult to find as it's been pulled off from a lot of places.

I found it here, may not be there later though

I remember when I saw I think it was Yves Edwards and Joe Stevenson - that was probably the worst i've seen. It didn't look too bad on the video but it was quite a small screen. It should have been probably been stopped for the doctors to take a look at and there were times when he was just covering up and taking punches without defending himself intelligently.

That was disgusting, not releasing the hold was pathetic and he should be banned for a very long time. If the UFC really wants to protect itself from the allegations of human cockfighting it'll have to come down heavily on babalu.

The UFC is so much tamer than it was at its introduction - they now wear gloves which is one major factor for a start. I don't believe UFC can be so deeply scrutinised without taking a long look at Boxing - there's far more chance of serious injury in Boxing getting knocked down repeatedly than the single knockout permitted in UFC. Sure it's bloodier in the UFC, but that's skin and on the rare occasion a broken bone. 36 minutes of getting bashed in the head is far more likely to cause serious internal injury.

Babalu's not the first fighter to keep a hold on for too long, I believe BJ Penn is another to have previously done so - although in no way was it right. He was fined half his purse by the Nevada state commission and I think the UFC was going to investigate it and see where they go from there.

Its true that the ufc is far tamer than it was previously before zuffa got involved but its also far more exposed these days, if it wants to be taken seriously as a sport its to make the running. Boxing is far more dangerous though, averaging 7 deaths a year whilst theres been none in the ufc although I dont know about the mma world in general.

Yes, it's pretty nasty. Most broken bones are from kicks and rarely from holds and the guy not tapping out. It tends to generally be the person kicking that gets it broken than receiving. Don't forget a kick is going to be stronger than a punch. Broken bones heal, brain damage doesn't.

I didn't realise Joe Rogan was a Brown Belt in BJJ - he does seem knowledgeable when commentating. I still hate him starting every post-fight interview with "alright" though tongue out

agreed, having been hit in the head a fair few times myself and not being able to tie my own laces realy confirms this silly

kick boxing has its fair share of broken limbs too & weirdly i'm quite good with this kinda stuff normaly but for some reason it really makes me feel nauseous.

thought Rogan looked like he trained, did'nt know it was BJJ scratchchin & i was'nt aware of this annoying characteristic either! so thanks for that! it will be bugging me too now madsmile
