Predictions? I think Dan Henderson will beat Quinton Jackson, Bisping will beat Hamill and Cro Cop will beat Cheick Kongo.

I like Hendo and I have enjoyed watching some of his bouts. However, my favourite is Rampage. I do not see him being beaten.

100% with you on Crocop.

Pics of Hendo training here + the press conference pics.

Im with you on the predictions 130r I think quinton lacks the intricate skills needed to be a champion against the top line pride guys which is why he never was. (I'm secretly gutted someone has beaten me to starting the ufc ppv thread though. Youd better post up a reminder when its going to start :P )

It's on setanta though, which I haven't got frown

I'm not sure about Hamill and Bisping, I haven't seen much of him but he definitely impressed Tito in the ultimate fighter series. He's stronger and a better wrestler than Bisping and I reckon an upset is very possible.

Not a great fight card.

Paul Taylor did well for himself, hopefully will get aother shot in the UFC. He took a lot of punishment and still tried.

Housten Alexander, another awesome fight for him.

Cro Cop was very disappointing, They need to teach Kongo some submission & ground skills, he will then be a huge force in that division.

Bisping/Hamil, very dissappointing fight, Bisping looked gaunt and thin compared to previous fights. Maybe he has been overtraining for this fight. was very suprised Bisping got the decision, I think that Hamil won 1st round, Bisping 2nd and very close in 3rd round. Hopefully will push Bisping to the next level he needs to be.

Hendo & Jackson not a bad fight was more of a techinical battle, Jackson couldn't get the space he needed to start banging. jackson has a great personality which comes across in the post fight interview.

Got some lovely pictures of the Octagon girls Too! hehe

Did you see the fights in the audience During the Jackson fight? 1st one at the end of round 1 and then another one at the end of round 3 WTF?

Some of the prelim/undercard fights were pretty good!

There were quite a few 'faces' there!!
It was good that George StPierre got out amongst the audience a couple of times thumbup
Dana White is a lot smaller than I imagined - got to shake his hand prior to the fights starting.
Also met Brandon Vera and George Huerta in the Slug and Lettuce after the event

Queuing for the toilets was a nightmare rolleyes and the bar queue was a PITA - made sense to grab 3 pints each on the way back from the toilets biggrin

Great choice of music for the Hamill and Bisping fight smile
And the roar that Bisping got coming out was something else

But

There is no way that Bisping won that fight.
He was dire! The look of sheer horror on his face when he hit Hamill with a high knee, and Hamill gave him one straight back said it all.
I cant believe that one of the judges scored it 30 - 27 in favour of Bisping confused maybe he was watching a different fight :shrugshoulders:
The crowd tried to get behind Bisping but IMO he didn't rise to it.

The Judges didn't, The scored were 29-28, 29-28 & 27-30. One judges ahd all 3 rounds Hamil.

It was amazing atmosphere for Bisping at Manchester, He came in to Song 2 from Blur. Everybody in the stadium were singing woo-hoo along to it as he tried to run into the cage!! Guess it must have been better at London.

I stand corrected, I must have misheard or too much beer on the night drink

Got the tv coverage recorded, it will be interesting to watch it and hear what the commentators made of the fight

Also seeing the final seconds of the Jackson v Henderson fight on the TV will be interesting - we all thought that the ref had stopped the fight no-one recalled hearing the horn scratchchin we heard the clacker for 10 seconds................
but the again it was very noisy in the crowd

Oooh, I wasn't the only PH'er there. If only I'd known!!

Great night, great athmosphere. The athmosphere when Bisping came out was worth the ticket price alone (well, almost!) he was lucky to get the decision imo

Put it this way, every time they went to the ground, I had to look at a screen! Btw, any chance I could get a copy of the broadcast you recorded?

Everytime they were in the centre of the octagon I had to look at the big screen! Bl00dy UFC Photographer (with the bandana and beard)standing on the stool blocked the view rolleyes

Excellent - it was weird watching the fights without commentary. I usually agree with Jo Rogan et al - will be interested to see if they agreed with me this time.

It was a good trailer and should be an excellent series. I'm afraid, for all his talk, I think Matt serrah (spelling?) has bitten off WAY more than he can chew - time will tell.

I know, when Randy and Joe were chatting after the Bisping vs Hamiill fight, I was desperate to know what they thought!! lol

It was an education seeing the live event.
