C'mon lads.. at least be proud poms & get behind yr soccer gals; they play harder than the national mens team & lets face it, they are yr only hope any time soon of adding some silverware to any team sports trophy cabinet.

Got a bit lucky with the toss this morning did the Aussies - it could have been them at 11-3 instead of the Ceylon boys if they'd have lost it. Decent bowling though ...

The bastards

Comical performance from SA tonight! Needing 155 to win or 126 to stay in the cup they failed terribly. Those dropped catches by Philander and uninspired fielding had me thinking back to Hanse and his match fixing. It just looked like he didn't want to take a catch all night.

And he didn't want to bat for very long either hehe

Where's zaktoo when you need him?

Bottlers - every last one of 'em ... I was cheering on the settee when Pollock's timbers were shattered first up! Ha!

They really had a a good chance to get through - they never really looked like getting anywhere neear india's score ... but to fail to get 126 when I think they wanted 30 from five overs or something was pathetic.

Grum Smid's face - what a picture .. Ya mate, you're out!!

Just got back from Greece where they are not known for their cricket or rugby prowess (so it's just like England really except with better weather & nicer food hehe ). Wots the mail lads? Are we in the finals despite all you soap dodgers wishing us well??

Go the Oz!

PS.. depressed tonight though after my AFL team lost in a thrilling prelim final earlier today against the strongest team all season. 98202 punters turned up to the MCG for what was reported as one of the best games all year. Biggest crowd at the Gee since the pre Comm Games redevelopments finished

That was a great game between Aus & India yesterday - man I was dancing in the front room when Yuvraj was batting - jeez, spectacular!

thought the Aussies were going to do it though - til Hayden went and then it was a constant dose of Aussie wickets - as it should be.

They were still there with three overs left though - and can be proud of their part in the match - but they're out!

Why are they having the final on a Monday though?

And well done to the Indians today taking the title thumbup

Edit - Game on Monday because it's a Bank Holiday in SA today.

Ah, that's why - thanks!

Still think Pak could have won that - don't think that was the best choice of shot to that ball, it wasn't nearly leg side enough ...

It looked like it was in the slot to be smacked back over his head for four or six ...

Then it would have been two from three balls ... easy (ish).

Ah well.

World 20/20 Cup in Britain in 2009. Come on!
