For the first time ever, I've been getting really animated watching the matches on TV. However, tonight we're going to a friends house where the Rugby will be on in the 'background' while we eat dinner.

I'm ever so slightly worried about committing an etiquette faux-pa - something along the lines of jumping up from my seat to shout at the TV and knocking the table over. Food & wine everywhere etc...

You would find me jumping up and down on the table. All the friends I have would be up there with me. (cheering on the English of course, we keep reckless crockery kicking for sunday lunch. wink)

Somehow I managed to arrange to go out for dinner this evening.... table booked for 8.30!

Discussions yesterday with 90% of the others who are going tonight were all saying the same... "WTF are we doing going to a restaurant [with no TVs] when England are in the Semi-Finals?!"

Absolutely. I'm at work at the moment, but even if we're not finished I am leaving here at 7pm without fail.
There shall be beerage and possibly pizza.
I've got a couple of small bets on too, so will be watching even more intently if that's possible!

If you work in the meeja, then surely everyone you work with is either a card-carrying gayer or a woman? And thus not bothered?

I have the terrible tragedy of having tonight coincide with my 24th, so I'm being forced to stay in with 6 mates and lots of beer and pizza. Oh the shame. hehe

I've got £? on the same at 3.45 - more or less the same.
Also a cheeky half-time/full-time for France - England - i.e. they're leading at half time but we win. At 11.4, excellent I thought, if that comes in it will pay for some serious celebtating biggrin

why is ITV sport so cheesy with all it's sports coverage? I feel like hurl at the cheese so far.
