Anyone see strikeforce Rousey v Kauffman? quite a good card.
Aye was no bad. The Rousey arm-bar phenomenon reminds me a bit of the Ultimate Fighter guy who kept guillotine chocking everyone even though they all knew that's exactly what he was going to try. All he same though, seems to be working for her and I do enjoy seeing a good arm bar.militantmandy said:

Yea, and all so quick! very impressive. The Tate v Kizeeiks (cant remember her name....) was a good one to. Have to admit its the first time I have really watched and enjoyed some womens bouts.UFC 151 cancelled altogether - first time ever for a UFC under Zuffa's ownership but Hendo's got a partial MCL tear in his knee.
Sonnen got the call as a replacement for Hendo, said he'd be on a plane that night if needs be, but Jon Jones has turned the fight down, forcing them to cancel. Instead Jones will face Machida at 152 in september, in Toronto - no 151 will take place.
Have to admire Chael's dedication, bit disappointed that Jones didn't take it, but I suppose he's not obligated to and it's an increased risk of losing if he's trained specifically for someone with Hendo's style.
Gutted for Hendo, as I think he stood a real chance in ways a lot of fighters with similar styles didn't (Rampage for example). Judging by the noise on Twitter, Dana is and Jones aren't exactly the best of friends anymore, which might be a bit awkward given he's the biggest cash-cow in the UFC at present.
UFC's horrible run of luck with injuries spoiling cards continues, bet they're dying for this year to be over :hehe;

Very disappointing, and very disappointed with Jones. Given White's ruthless management (e.g. forcing friends from the same camp to fight etc.) I'm amazed he didn't force Jones to fight. If anything, Sonnen should have had the disadvantage. Possibly banged up/tired from the Silva fight and the preparation for it and presumably not in camp at the moment.
Jones is an awesome fighter but he knows it and his cockiness lately has made it hard for me to like him (not that he'd care!) and this doesn't help. If he loses respect with lots of others too (esp. White) it may come back to haunt him if he ever loses and needs to re-build or with sponsorship opportunities.
Boo hoo, boo hiss.

Here's the press conference call if anyone's interested in hearing it. http://aol.it/No9E6M Seems it was largely a decision made for Jones by Greg Jackson, well, that's Dana's side of the story. Can't see them exchanging Christmas gifts this year

Awesome link... and rant!I do love Dana White - just listen to what he says about Greg Jackson. Not exactly mealy mouthed is he!
Looking for more on this I came across a story i hadn't heard about, Jones getting done for driving whilst under the influence (of something?) - http://www.mmafighting.com/2012/7/31/3206680/ufc-j...

Second DUI in a few months I believe?Another twist, because ... well why not, after this many another won't hurt.
Machida won't be facing Jones at 152 after all - turned down because there's not enough time to train apparently. So it's going to be Vitor Belfort vs Jones. Can't say I'm seeing a fantastic fight in that one, but we'll see.
Also, Anderson Silva nearly saved 151 from being cancelled by offering to stand in and face another fighter, apparently. I don't think I could bear the Dana jizzfest that would have ensued if he had. Nice to know there's still some big names out there that aren't shy of a short notice fight though - wonder if Anderson would have said yet to Chael on short notice
Jones made a statement - http://mmajunkie.com/news/30352/jon-jones-laments-...
I can see his point but still don't think it should have tanked the card. On the other hand it wouldn't have if it wasn't such a piss weak card without the main event so hardly his fault. I still think that close to d-day and you're pretty much obliged to take what's put infront of you though, in the past it's lead to some brilliant short-notice fights.
Still, he's young and this will be forgotten about before long. Must admit I've enjoyed watching the fallout from the sidelines though - some hilarious comments on twitter from some of the other fighters - even Bisping got in on it with an "I took Sonnen on 8 days, just sayin'" type comment which made me chuckle.
On the plus side 152 looks like a much stronger card, gotta feel for the other fighters who aren't getting paid after training camps and so on - lots of people are out of pocket it would seem.

Talking of psychiatrists - I've just read that a few days ago Mayhem Miller was arrested, naked in a church he'd vandalised:
