Can tell Rory Macdonald's been spending most of his days training with GSP, certainly seems to have mastered GSP's finishing style hehe

Hope he gets his fight with Condit though, was a good fight last time they came out, and Rory's had a couple of good fights since (Diaz springs to mind).

Also hope henderson destroys Diaz emphatically, but being realistic I quite fancy Diaz's chances, and I reckon far too many people are writing Shogun off (generally, not on here). I'm gonna say Shogun, and probably be wrong hehe

Not bowled over with either of those TBH. Not a bad show by gustaffson at all, but the day he gets a belt is the day I'll eat my hat. Great knees and range, but doesn't look like anywhere near ready for a title fight IMO. Shogun just looked... I dunno. Lots of heart though, and I still reckon there's a much better fighter in there somewhere that needs a different training camp to bring out. Hope the Henderson fight is better, maybe it's just me not being in the UFC mood or something, but I've not really enjoyed tonights card much so far (didn't see the prelims though).

Oh, and if Mike Goldberg says 'changing of the guard' once more, I'm going to hunt him down, steal all of his shoes, and fill his house with upturned plugs.

Henderson vs Diaz - Awesome. I could watch 10 rounds of this, Henderson beating Diaz up has made the whole card worthwhile hehe 5 rounds of totally shutting out everything Nate Diaz could bring, utterly brilliant technique, even by Henderson's standards that was impressive.

When did MacDonald become a massive ? He had BJ for the taking. First guy to KO BJ, nope I will just do some stupid Ali dance and lay against the cage for the whole 3rd round.

Who would have thought that a Diaz could be made even uglier? hehe

Bit surprised rory didnt go after bj too, bj almost looked ready to quit after those body punches. Agree that the mauler isn't ready for jones yet, he needs to be more well rounded. I'm not a fan of bendo or diaz but no denying the complete domination by bendo. diaz had no answer apart from a few bjj attempts. Looking forward to a fight filled weekend next week, smashes finale sat am and tuf16 sunday am.

See the state of his eye in the Post-fight presser? Looked like someone had replaced it with a nectarine. hehe

Changing of the Guard!!!!

fk off Goldie.

Great fights there.
BJ still looks a shell of his former self, it was a 155lb fighter against a large 170lb. MacDonald though is another fighter who will struggle to get fan support IMO. Great skills though, but no finish instrinct
Gusttaffason is a fantastic fighter but not sure if he is ready for Jones yet, Machida next i think for him.
Henderson. wow. Awesome fight, he was trying to put a very very tough diaz away even after he had the fight in the bag. Fantastic performance. Hopefully melendez next for Henderson.

Heh, yes. Changing of the guard used correctly in the BJ Penn fight, possibly in the Rua fight.

Not for the Henderson fight.

Must say I really enjoyed this card. A shame for bj but outclassed and out muscled. I utterly detest that god bothering humourless dildo that is Ben (call me Benson) Henderson but no doubt it was a great performance. Diaz needs to learn that taunt with 20 seconds left is about as useful as a hang glider in space.

Enjoyed the fights but I really really want someone to decimate hendo and say 'all things through Satan after'.

Right with you on Henderson, not sure why but I just don't like the chap. Can't take it away from him though he was devastating in that fight, i'd say he is improving too which is scary. I love Aldo, would love to see a guy with equally nasty leg kicks go head to head (should that be shin to shin!)but obviously that would need Aldo to go up a weight and Bendo is huge for his class as it is. Decent set of fights though, enjoyed it!

I think Aldos future is in lightweight, he has pretty much destroyed the FW class plus he seems to be getting bigger and having to cut more. Its always a treat watching him fight!

I think once Aldo has fought Edgar regardless of the result Aldo will move up to LW where there are some awesome fights for him, i'd love to see him against Cerrone

some great fights this weekend

Whittaker vs Scott, I've been watching Brad for a few years and he's a tough guy and a big WW. i was at his fight when he lost his only fight against one of my teammates and to be honest I would have never have expected him to get to where he has, just shows what hard work and toughness can do. I think whittaker takes it though

Fletcher vs Parke, I like both guys, don't think either will ever trouble the top 10 in the UFC though, i think Fletcher takes this by submission

Pearson vs Sotiropoulos, I think pearson takes this, if George can get it to floor he has a good chance though as he's a far superior technical grappler

Lombard vs Palhares, should be good, i see Palhares ripping off one of Lombard's legs

Mitrione vs Nelson, no idea who will win but it'll be fun whilst it lasts

Barry vs Del Rosario will be a good stand up scrap, again no idea who'll win

Guillard vs Varner, this is probably the one i'm looking forward to the most, big Jamie Varner fan, i see one of them getting KO'd

I've Sky plussed it in case I nod off, plus have to be up early to take the kids to their karate lesson, so probably watch the main card tomorrow. Hope Gormless George gets utterly smashed!

Brilliant show, one of the best Contender type finals I remember,

Utterly thrilled that Pearson shut that gobste up, though I thought he'd let him off the hook and would get subged or caught himself what with that 2nd round. Also surprised how easily Parkes dominated Freakshow. Not surprised by the Aussie winning the second though as he's so explosive and dangerous. Give him half a chance and he'll pepper you and just out-sped his way to the win.

Cracking fight between ross and george. Mindfull of not wanting to blow the result to everyone im really surprised one was able to make the fight where he wanted it so easily and win so spectacularly!!
