Yeah, looked like he was up to the neck in inevitability.

Totally agree on the women's MMA thing. I get it, appreciate the skill, training and all that jazz, but it just doesn't work for me. If I wanted to watch women fighting I wouldn't have moved thousands of miles away from Newcastle.
I've enjoyed a couple of them but most wouldn't be worthy of FB prelims if they were chaps. Maybe when it's matured a little and the bar is a little higher I'll be more interested. As it stands it just feels sub-par, like airing a pub football match in the middle of 2 premier league fixtures, and I feel seedy for watching it hehe

Well, at least the first round was interesting in this one...

Meh, I'm done with this one. I've some paint to watch drying.

Bisping is very good at moving and not getting hit, but in some of his last few fights you get the feeling he's forgotten that he needs to hit his opponent to win.

It's not like he lacks the ability or the skill and endurance, he just seems to have the dial stuck on defence instead of turning it to attack occasionally.

Because he is? Just he's got no cardio so after first round he was out of it. Werdum doesn't have much of a chance against Cain. I was looking at Stefan Strave, he could be quite dominant if he gets his striking together and uses his range better.

Browne's very good IMO, his rate of improvement is pretty impressive. I've enjoyed watching him over the last few years.

He broke ribs in the first round (and a hand and his nose). I'd say he did fairly well all things considered - certainly not the king of cardio but gassing after 2 minutes isn't something he usually does, Roy Nelson lasts longer than that!

I watched Bellator 117 - enjoyed the Marcin Held and Doug Lima fights

Can't say I'm really looking forward to tonights UFC card apart from JBJ. I wonder what the odds are on Jim Miller/Yancy Medeiros being another No Contest for both fighters (Miller last his last but one fight but opponent tested positive for Cannabis, Meceiros won his last fight but then tested positive for Cannabis smile)

Rumble Vs Davis - should be interesting as well. At the end of the night we should have a clear idea about the state of the LHW division..

It was a good card last night. All the way down to the prelims - with the exception of the female fight.

Yup, just finished watching the prelims, couple of perfect knockouts and a scary submission considering the ref was Yamasaki who goes to sleep when refereeing usually

And to think Rumble Johnson fought at Welterweight before, no wonder he missed weight so much in the past. He beat Arlovski last year at Heavyweight too...

Johnson is a total beast. I have no idea how he made 170. There were some nice finishes in the fights and some very technical stuff. Rockhold was also impressive I thought.

I always thought of Phil Davis as a good fighter but he got destroyed in that fight.

Yeah he looks huge now, could do some serious damage at light heavy.
