I thought the Cruickshank stoppage was a bit late.
Brown fight was a bit rubbish in a way. Silva was gone in the first round, I don't know how Brown didn't put him away. It was just like punching a bag - I was surprised it made it beyond round 1 and thought they both looked gone. How Brown didn't put him away in the second I have no idea because Silva just wasn't there at all.

that's a good video. losing in MMA really sucks though, i've played loads of sports over the years and as such have lost countless times but the only time it has ever really bothered me is when i've lost an MMA fighthttp://mmajunkie.com/2014/05/video-rich-franklin-p...
fighting tomorrow, hoping not to lose
looking forward to the UFC saturday night too where due to the quality of the matchups even some very good fighters will lose
i always find it a weird situation when at pre fight weigh-ins, press stuff etc and all fighters look really confident and obviously think we're going to win but the reality is that half the people are going home with a loss

I've bumped into Rich Franklin twice - once an open gym workout near where I live and the other just after a fan expo in Vegas.http://mmajunkie.com/2014/05/video-rich-franklin-p...
Honestly, from the impression I got I can't think of a more brutally honest guy when it comes to the sport - other than those who don't compete in it. No ego whatsoever. All business in the gym, just a regular guy out of it.
What a great main event!
Didn't want to stay up, but left the TV on and woke from the cheers at the knockdown at the end of the 1st... Was wide awake then!
Fantastic fight, TJ looked amazing. Never really liked Barao (can't explain why, just don't like him!) so was happy to see it go the way it did, and even happier TJ managed to finish it in such emphatic fashion.
Have the rest recorded and will try and catch up later. I'm sure I woke to some other knockout too but can't really remember!

Hard to watch the ankle give several times. Impressive to keep going.
I'm fairly ok with blood and cuts. But that foot flapping around just made me look away. I think the referee (Herb Dean I believe) should have stopped it before. Also I don't think it was especially smart to keep fighting as he could make the injury a lot worse. Seemed a bit pointless if at the end of the round he stays on the ground and forfeits. May as well call it off unless he really thought he could win it by KO or on the ground.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
