First fight was a good one. The women's fight: I can't believe they let it go beyond the first round - that was nasty.
I now know what you were talking about, why did they feel the need to replay that bit so many times, I know we are watching people beat the st out of each other but still that was pretty nasty.

Her lack of feeling was probably adrenaline, that or the ear was already so damaged that there wasn't anything left to feel.

Oh yeah, she smashed it. Came out guns blazing. Would have been nice to see her finish it, but a win is a win. I felt a bit for Hunt, he was looking so good and I think would probably have taken it if Fabricio hadn't timed that knee so well.

FFS. Just seen this thread had updated...

Looked and realised I've not seen the weekend's action yet, despite avoiding all
Mention of results.

Until now. Obviously hehe

Much better than the boxing on Saturday and it didn't cost £16!
yes

I bought the boxing and whilst the undercard was ok, I did find my love of it has wained somewhat.

Although the UFC costs me £13 a month so the cost is probably equivalent over a year

I never read this thread till I'm all caught up. Definitely the safe option. Frankie was a monster. Probably my favourite fighter so very glad to see him put on such a performance.

UFC has signed Reebok as the uniform supplier for all fighters. I'm not sure on this one, will have to see.

I'm pretty sure, Reebok are garbage.

Their NBA stuff is just awful, much like the NFL stuff that came before Nike took over.

Sounds like that might change the face of the UFC. Personally I'm not massively keen on a lot of it visually anyway so would be interested to see what Reebok do, in terms of the fighters pay set up surely there is going to be massive arguments about rankings given that now the difference between being ranked #9 and #10 could be £xx thousand per match. As fans we want to see the best fighters from across the world matched with each other, not just the ones with exclusivity to the UFC or a close relationship to Mr White.

I have to agree with this.

Pay difference are always going to get in there, but they shouldn't be that different between #9 and #10. Maybe they do it in sections so a bigger drop to #11 but #9 and 10 are relatively close.

I'll be interested to see what happens with the "style" of the clothing. It well be an attempt to get it all a bit more main stream and bring in more viewers.

Got to wonder on the impact to the MMA brands? I have 5 or 6 t-shirts I purchased after seeing them worn by fighters when walking to the ring. I wont be buying Reebok gear frown

I also read that they are to stop the banners that get hung behind the fighters during the intro.

Oh really?

Surely that's going to quash sponsorship a bit? I can't see other brands wanting to get involved if they don't get their labels out there.

Well if you read the article is sort of suggests they won't be involved... I'd love to know what this contract was worth to Reebok, seems a lot of eggs to put into one basket, but it's good that MMA is starting to get recognised as a sport that big brands want to invest in.
