Young, famous and wealthy man does cocaine. SHOCK! I'm only surprised he was stupid enough to get caught.

The more the veneer of god bothering goody-two-shoes disappears, the more I like him.

I don't really see what the big deal is, he took a substance that's illegal and banned when in competition but is not banned out of competition, he was tested after the original test and was then clean and fought clean. I agree he's a role model etc but he's also just human and human's do stupid st because it's often fun

As a competitor i'd be well happy with my opponent had spent hi training camp getting on it, definitely not going to enhance their performance

There's any amount of industries where drug testing is the norm and coke use is rife because it's detectable for such a short time..
I'd wager there's a shed load more of them doing a rail every now and then, just like most other sports.

More surprising He was partying hard so close to a fight and walked it.

Can't say I care, still think weed should be allowed too.

Coke is a drug, people like drugs, booze, fags, coffee. I'd rather watch a coke-head than a rapist!
The whole AMerican war on drugs thing is a load of st anyway.
But he was partying hard close to a fight? I suppose when you are a level above all competitors... biggrin

Brian Stann is on the latest Joe Rogan podcast and they are talking about the possibility that JJ is on PED's

Just listened to that whilst found some decorating, so I was paying 100% attention but it does seem there's been some funky goings on...

Bit quiet in here for a fight night, anyone tuning in later?

Looking forward to it. Feel a bit sorry for Siver, always seems like such a nice, professional guy and doesn't do the hype / smack talking thing. Then he gets Conor McGregor who runs his mouth like no other. hehe

Reasonable card, nothing too shocking.

Henderson came out hard as expected. Decision was interesting.

McGreggor... well what is there to say really. Aldo is going to be a great fight!

Siver looked like he'd already lost in the embedded videos leading up to the fight. Conor looked good, but over-confident. If he does the hands down and theatrics with Aldo it'll cost him dearly. Great use of his range though, and he's certainly got talent. Looking forward to the Aldo fight though, both are very entertaining.

Cowboy I thought got the right decision, but it was damn close.

Not a bad card for a freebie.

Just caught up on the main card. Cowboy was lucky (and I hate Benson Henderson for some reason), and Connor.... Let's see what happens. He's selling the fight well already, so Dana has to be happy at that.

See I thought he was lucky too. It just didn't seem like he got going at all. Maybe I am just comparing it to the fight before where he decimated his opponent (can't actually remember who that was now).

Connor, I want to like him, no doubt he is talented, has he been challenged in the UFC yet? I agree though Siver never looked in the fight from the beginning. I don't think he knew what hit him. Aldo is going to be very interesting I think and will be the make or brake of Connor.

I watched it last night

Agree on Cowboy/Henderson I thought it could have gone either way.

Was very impressed with McGregor, maybe its my naivety (I've not been watching as long as some of you chaps) but I thought it was very measured and he just took Siver apart. The guy hadn't been knocked out since 2008 and by all accounts is no joke.

I appreciate Aldo is another massive step up but he's taken them all in his stride so far and I thought it was a superb first round, nearly every strike counted and did some real damage, Siver looked like he'd been through 3 rounds by the end of one.

In boxing terms it reminds me of when I saw a young Hatton or Khan, there's definitely something about him.

Heh - cowboy shrugged and said sorry to Henderson in the ring. He didn't look 'himself' in there - maybe two fights in 15 days was too much.

enjoyed the card, thought Henderson vs Cerrone could've gone either way but overall i thought Henderson edged it. Mcgregor was very impressive, I'm not sure he can beat Aldo but either way i'm seriously excited to watch it

Rumble vs Gus this weekend which should be a cracker then Diaz vs Silva the week after which i can't see being anything other than awesome

Agree with most of the above...

Siver was beaten before he got in there. Conor did look good, very good. He was very relaxed, which worked ok with Siver but he'll need to tighten up against Aldo. Which I'm sure he knows.

I know Aldo laughed off the theatrics after the fight, but I think he looked worried.

Bendo/Cerrone was a decent fight, and bloody tight. I'd read Bendo got robbed, but don't see it that way.

Parke did well against Tibau in my opinion, was tightish but for the takedowns.

Looking forward to the next few, should be good.
