Seems to come across reasonably.Yeah.... But we know he's a two-faced SOB as shown in the build-up to the DC fight. For me he's just a little too tainted to be worthy of my respect (because that obviously means the world to everyone ).
But in the LHW division.... After the Gus/Rumble fight (and then fight to loser of it as well), what does he have left?

Oh don't get me wrong, I can't fking stand the guy. I mean credit where credit is due. He did this, then beat DC convincingly so there's no doubt that he's a fking good fighter (best?). Still a prick though. But in the LHW division.... After the Gus/Rumble fight (and then fight to loser of it as well), what does he have left?
He's very media savvy and well versed in PR. It's like any other sales job. He's selling his brand to employers and sponsors via public appetite for him until the next big flavor of the week comes along and he's yesterday's news.
If his brand and celebrity thrived on not giving a toss, he wouldn't. Instead we have to endure the usual celebrity apology shtick because he got caught out. Cue the usual cliches about letting everyone down, being humble etc.
I can't stand the celebrity apology culture, but it's hoops to jump through to keep the money train on the rails. Im not a Jones fan, but then I've no idea what he's like in reality, if nothing else he was probably good fun on nights out

I think I'd respect him more if he said "Yep, I party like the vast majority of people my age, so what?" I prefer honesty over PR
NIKE like honesty too, remember the Tiger Woods confessional ad, nauseous.Got around to watching Connor Mcgregor last night, he's frightening, I think he will beat Aldo.
Anyone else a bit pissed off that this is being shown in the middle of the night to satisfy the yanks?
Was looking forward to watching this for ages at a reasonable time on a sat night with a few beers. Looks like it will be the usual Sunday morning thing with a brew now!
Gustafsson,Davis,Mousassi are my picks for the top 3 fights.

I have nothing constructive to add other than I have a serious crush on Ronda Rousey
Your not the only one!Yea the UFC timings are annoying but I just watch it in the morning.
UFC have announced they are coming to Glasgow and Poland. That will be interesting.
Will go to the Glasgow one and possibly make the trek to Poland.
I dunno, I think those ref stoppages were mostly legit
The Ogle fight stoppage was justified, if you are trying to take down the ref, you are out. Much as I like seeing UK fighters succeed, Ogle isnt UFC calibre
The Hendo fight was also justified, the ref stoppage stopped him taking more damage, he was going to get pummelled
The main event went maybe one punch too many, if he had stopped it earlier than the first of the under armpit properly flush punches that ragdolled Gus' head, the crowd would have gone nuts and Rogan would have been whining about not giving him time to recover

So have we all seen it then? Not a bad card.
God I hate Diaz! Taunting all day long but not actually doing anything then moaning about how he was robbed at the end. Tip for you mate, if you want to win fights, you'll need to actually get after people. Was glad to see Anderson win although he looked pretty tentative and he took a lot more shots than he usually does.
Diaz had some good success, if he'd pushed a bit instead of dancing around he might have got somewhere. Another chance wasted by petulant nonsense
