A very good fight night, and prelims. Only one snoozer, the rest was top notch.

Next up RR vs HH. I can't see it going beyond a round....

Admit - after spending a night shift out in that rain replacing an isolation valve to an oil main.
Arrived back in the control room at half 5 - feet up, hot coffee and watching the fight was about as good as it got.

I always thought Ronda Rousey was a bit too arrogant laugh

Ronda has been given Holly Holm for her next match instead of Miesha Tate as was planned, so that's another 10 second fight then.

It's been a while since I've stood up in the middle of the room shouting at the TV. Great fight.

Rousey has been announced as the cover of the EA UFC 2 game, a couple of days ago it was a great idea hehehttp://kotaku.com/kod-ronda-rousey-had-just-been-a...

Well... I couldn't resist having heard the rumours so kicked the kids upstairs to make a mess and watched the main event from last night... There was a time when I thought that even attempting head kicks in mma was a bit daft (given my own complete lack of ability) but things seem to be constantly evolving and when the skills and timing are there they absolutely devastate... Pure sport, awesome.

I actually really like Rhonda, but kinda delighted she was beaten too. Good for the sport. Dare I say it, a comedown for own mouthpiece (McGregor) might be no harm either.

I've wanted to watch Rousey get her first loss for a while now, but I kind of feel bad for her.

She didn't lose, she was destroyed.

Not getting her way in the first few seconds she seemed to struggle hugely.

She always seems to look a bit gaunt at weigh in's but she was the bigger looking of the 2 in the actual fight.

I didn't like Rousey and I'm glad she lost. I respected her for her MMA achievements but she lacks class, believed her own hype with idiots like Joe Rogan and Dana White endlessly telling everyone she is the single biggest achievement in human history and hopefully the nonsense about most dominant female athlete of all time, Rousey vs other male mma fighters, Rousey vs Mayweather bullst can stop now. Ronda was the ruler of weak division and got knocked out by someone who has not knocked out any of her previous opponents.

Don't. She is set for life in the UFC and will be granted a rematch whenever she wants on her own terms. Assuming she comes back as she can make much more money in Hollywood.

I agree to me there was a massive difference between how she looked at weigh in and then on fight night.

Whether I like RR or HH or not is irrelevant. What I'm interested in seeing is what Rhonda's play is now. I don't believe we've seen what she's truly made of yet as she's never been beat in MMA, so it will be interesting to see what follows her first defeat.
For sure HH deserved to win that fight. Her movement and striking was so natural and a joy to watch.

McGregor Aldo next.... smile So tempted to throw caution to the wind and buy a ticket to go see it in Vegas.

I dont really watch UFC but for some reason I get a lot of stuff about RR on my Facebook news so I watched this fight out of interest.

I was surprised at how easy she got done over. Then I saw she had only had 12 fights. Normally in something like boxing you are not called a legend with only 12 wins but I spose that womans UFC is quite new and you take what is available. Not sure what the career expectancy of a UFC fighter is either.

The career of a UFC fighter depends on if you win or lose, if you lose, youll get another chance, lose again and unless your sucking Dana off, youll be consigned to the scrap heap it seems.

Its a shame that Paul Daley went to Bellator/Dana wont let him back in as to me, Bellator seems to be full of the UFC washouts. Having said that, Dana does like to pull some old boys out of retirement it seems and put them on the main card.

Anyway, now RR has lost, hopefully itll stop the bullst newsfeed that pop up on FB and she will go up in weight and fight cyborg.

As for her and Hollywood, it doesnt appear to have worked out for Gina Carino from some of the films ive seen her in. RR in F&F7 was shocking.

Loved it! Only just watched it, I expected another RR arm bar but she never got a look in! She was torn apart. Seemed unfit, she probably expected to have won by halfway through the 1st round.

I don't dislike her but don't like all the cocky bullst that goes with it. Must be really embarrassing after all her mouthing to be utterly destroyed. I think it's the first proper KO I've seen in women's ufc too.

Hopefully macgregor will get a pasting too the cocky arrogant tt!
