This is really bugging me, I was thinking about good fights and remembered there was one in 2015.
The fighter had his UFC debut against some well respected fighter, I think it was at 155 or 145. They ended up on the ground and the new fighter was on his back and doing so much damage he was winning the fight. He had really good BJJ and getting into all sorts of good positions. Can't for the life of me remember who it was He won by stoppage. I thought he'd be one to watch out for and now the name isn't ringing any bells.

recent tuf finale?
I enjoyed it as a philosophical lesson into the importance of the "art" in "martial art" but I suspect it failed as a spectacle for many. Fair play to Ryan Hall, he's very highly skilled in what he does, the Irish/Russian guy is a big banger and brave but never really stood a chance in anything other than a slufest. It's very interesting now having watched MMA for a while the way styles and skill sets seem to be effective on a cycle, they're all MMA guys now but being really good at MMA rather than a highly single skilled guy who can do a bit of other things still seems to be quite effective up to a point.FredClogs said:
