i bet if he could slate his opponent and play mind games he would be promoting. COnsidering his self promotion has got him where he is (and winning of course) hes now bhing about it?!?

I'm sick of all the publicity. What shall I do ? Oh ya the only thing that will guarantee ten times the publicity. Hmmmmmm.

Conor is just showing his true colours, he's never been as professional as the people that helped build this sport and he clearly believes he is bigger than the UFC, which never ends well.

Now, if they want to make up the PPV's they are going to lose through this whole debacle, get Brock Lesnar to come back on a one fight deal and put him agaist Frank Mir to complete their trilogy smile

A good 'solid' card from the weekend. Prelims had some good fights, but nothing outstanding. The co-main event blew the main event out of the water.

Really enjoyed the UFC card at the weekend other than the main event which was pretty dire.

The cynic in me imagines all of this is to distract us from something. Like perhaps the death of a young man in Dublin which seems to have disappeared completely out of the news.

Could be, but doubtful. Boxers die too.

Someone suggested on another forum that McGregor really can't promote this fight, as he already lost to Diaz. I tend to agree. What is he going to say? His entire promotion style consists of bleating about his greatness and making fun of his opponent. Any attempt to promote this thing would further devalue the image has built up.

Wasn't BJ Penn trotting round the ring like a horse in his last match.

Looked like too much cardio had siezed him up to make the lower weight.

I don't want to see BJ Penn fight again.
Not won a fight since 2010 and 1 win in last 7 fights.

GSP has lost a couple of butties from his picnic basket and all I fear... The Shamrock, Royson Gracie, Kimbo Slice stuff going on at Bellator might have got a few people interested but it's a freak show, spectacle stuff and the UFC should be above that and really be about the pinnacle of the sport.

I wouldn't want to watch it and would think less of Dana if he put it on, unless BJ or GSP want a genuine run at the Welter weight belt and to resurrect their careers, in which case they should start at the correct place in the rankings and on the card.

Looks like Mcgregor vs Diaz is definitely not going to happen at UFC200. Who really cares anymore? It's all a bit too much pantomime for me.

Totally agree. Bellator has some decent fighters but it does seem to be a bit second rate compared to the UFC. I'd like a fully committed GSP to come back but not if he isn't really serious. BJ was a joke in his last fight I honestly hope that doesnt happen.
