I hope GSP stays retired, I dont need to see him come back after this long out and be mediocre. There is no way his hunger is still as great as it was when he took the division by storm, there's no way he'll be as dominant, and we'll end up with another "has been" doing it for the money and losing to fighters he really shouldnt be losing to.
He left due to the stresses of the sport and because training stopped being fun (alongside his allegations of ped use in the UFC), how long would it take for all of that to come back again, expectation would be massive on him. He's doing movies now and has made a fortune through sponsorship deals, he doesnt need to come back.
Back to McGregor, he's made himself look very stupid. Tweeting that he is back in only to have Dana confirm he isnt is a pretty dumb move, and the more this has gone on the worse he's made himself look.
If you know you have media commitments you dont just not show up for them, you either discuss and make arrangements around them beforehand or set up your camp in the US so they dont require a flight to attend.
Hopefully Jones has a positive result on his injured foot and him and Cormier can headline, much better fight that Mcgregor/Diaz anyway.

Yes, I see your point. I can't be the only one who's had enough of Conor, surely? He's not, in a million years, thing to get close to mayweather in a boxing match and Mayweather is never going to have an mma fight, so it's all moot nonsense.This kind of exhibition stuff is the worst thing that could happen for both sports, it's WWE nonsense.
