Seperately... probably all speculation and lies but http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/15503004/ufc-own...
It's going to get sold at some point, you could argue the UFC has probably peaked with the Rhonda and Conor publicity they've had in the last 18months. At some point it's inevitable the UFC is going to suffer a backlash of some kind, the ongoing law suits, a death in the octagon, a lull in quality fighters or just fashion.

What do they actually own, it's a lot of money for a brand, a few fighters on short term "employment" contracts and a couple of short term TV deals.

UFC gyms and the 'brand'. The Reebok deal was huge for them, as it legitimised everything they had. Final piece - the NY state legislation.

Zuffa picked up the UFC for $2M. A multi-billion industry later.... Why not?

Silva out of UFC198 - NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That could have been an amazing fight. Top card as well, even without that.
Oh FFS. I want to see this guy fight a few more times before he retires. UFC will never see another like him, IMO. frown

What was he doing making faces in the cage? I saw that and went - heads not on, it's coming off.

Really good fights generally, Maia really bores me though. Yes, he's amazing once the fight is on the floor, but if I wanted to look at men rolling around for three/five rounds I'd watch a GSP fight...

Just catching up, I dozed off for a few before the main event...

Alves v Barberena - what a fight! Proper action, and the right result for me.

What was werdum doing, he looked like one of this walking dead zombies chasing the guy around the ring at a walking pace with arms and chin out. He'll be very sore to lose in such a fashion.

So Weidman is out...

From what I'm seeing Bisping has stepped up to fight Rockhold with 2 weeks notice.

Not seen it confirmed though, so maybe just MB getting his name in there.

Hall, Bisping and...... Yoel Romero have put their names up. YR has obviously forgotten about a little thing called a BAN. Muppet.

My 2p - Bisping 'deserves' a title shot, and has the history with Rockhold to make it a grudge match. Hall has just come off a full camp - which would make a good fight.....

Oh yes - Jacare got a 1st round TKO last week. He'll be ready to fight again...

I like Bisping, but he would get mauled (Again) by Rockhold.
Jacaré would be a better fight.

Bisping seems really light for the weight class, he moves pretty well but its abit like he works on having amazing cardio and forgets he has to actually punch his opponent.

I'd really like him to do well but I cant see him standing any chance against Rockhold. Uriah Hall would be an interesting match, if he had his A game with him that could end up as a big upset.

He got mauled by Silva and still won, so anything is possible. Just hold the fight in England.

We caught up with Fight Night yesterday, I thought it was a great card!

Seemed to be an absolute blood fest! Did you see the first early prelim fight? Brutal!

Really pleased to see Garbrandt doing so well, the guy's a beast.

Excited for 199, Bisping is looking good!

Not sure he can win, but I'll be backing him all the way.

199 presser was on a bit ago.

Most amusing. Bisping was on fine form.
