So, latest UFC in the books. With the main event build-up, there was almost a concerted effort not to mention the 'M' word.
My personal irritant Anik mentioned it during the broadcast, to silence from the other commentators.
Without spoilers, a good card, matchmaking is getting better, worth a watch.

Am I the only one that is massively underwhelmed by McG Vs Wife beater? I just don't care.
Also, enjoying the FU of Goldy now commentating at Bellator
Finally, nice to see another finish in a ladies fight, as well as The Iron Lady running away from Cyborg (and having her belt stripped from her).

The latest fight night was at the weekend.... What a boring, dreary affair. 205 minutes of programme before the first non-decision fight finish.
And then Mario causing more issues, after a taxi was being called for a certain ex-champion who has weight issues, and doesn't seem to have won for a few years now (slightly unfair, but very close).

Can promotors actually stop trying to milk the barren cash cows of stars that should have retired a long time ago?
I find it amusing that Bellator for the last year or so has produced more talking points or highlights than the UFC. I'm thinking MVP / Cyborg, this latest one (amazing - almost first ultimate-fighter-esque)....
My take is the UFC new management really need to take a grasp on what sells fights (personalities and animosity - in rare cases stand out fighters matching skills), sort the pay out and get the fights together. As well as getting a handle on PEDs, nutrition and weight cuts (move everyone up 10lbs to a natural weight class, weighing in a few hours before the fight).
Interesting that the UFC have opened a training/rehab centre for their fighters - a move I definitely approve of. As long as the fighters aren't charged for it!

does anyone know if the UFC are going to strip McNugget of his belts?
I mean they stripped him of the first one as he never intended to drop back down, then he said he was having time off for the baby (fair enough) but he seems to be able to find the time to get ready for his fight with Mayweather

Would he bother coming back? UFC is going to pay him ~$2 million/fight. It's not worth it when you compare it to the Mayweather payday.I mean they stripped him of the first one as he never intended to drop back down, then he said he was having time off for the baby (fair enough) but he seems to be able to find the time to get ready for his fight with Mayweather

The Michael Johnston vs Gaetsch (poor spelling sorry) is an epic well worth catching
Reminded me of that 'Jackass' song - If you're going to be dumb, you've got to be tough....Two really enjoyable cards for TUF Finale and the last UFC. Although I did think Overeem was a bit lucky...
I would say he needs to do one more fight, a title defense, otherwise he'll be forever labelled a 'paper champion'.
As for the UFC stripping him, they learn by their mistakes. The mess Aldo left with that crap.... The new Champions last loss was to McGregor, when McGregor blew out his knee and still won...

What will that be?
Nuggets getting $77m for the fight. For 77m, id happily be made to look like a fool though he has always said hed be the first $100m MMA fighter. It does make me wonder though, how much is 'engineered' behind the scenes or do i need more tin foil for my hat. The Kardashians are another example of this. Though i wonder how AJ is going to become the 1st $1bn fighter, as i didnt think boxing was that big
